And appoint a new Captain for the Accrington game.

Ffs we need one if the clubs aspirations of making the play-offs this year are true!

We need the few 'leaders' we have at the club to be put in a position where they can be counted!!

From the current crop Clarke would be my choice!!

You know it makes sense!!

Clarke defo fits the bill for a future captain..

Young enough, experienced enough in footy...

Probably the best centr half we have..In fact he is the best centre half we have..

So i concur BB..

I'd agree if he didn't make Darren "Sicknote" Anderton look like a regular ffs!

Spot on Parrot - his injury record would exclude from the role of captain imo too.

Well he's not doing too bad to say he's made over 300+ appearances is he?

It would take Matt "fell over a conker and broke my finger nail" Clarke 3 decades to reach a 100 ffs

How soon folk forget.
An ever present in our first season in the premier, not bad for a sick note.

Just remember when many on here are after their new scapegoat as all teams obviously need one. Wethers was the man that persquaded many of the squad to take wage deferrals, he was the man that turned down Coventry when many of the squad were leaving and the remaining few sat tight to see what THEIR captain was going to do. He commands great respect on and off the field. Several managers at this club have seen fit to make him captain, perhaps they miss what you experts see on here.

I don't mind the guy but if had have passed his medical at Man City he would have left so don't make out he is a saint

Saint ? Nah just a player that deserves a modicum of respect

Anyway, the proposed transfer to Man City was before the first admin, a time when BFG was trying to offload more players than the titanic life boats. Don't really recall him sulking and demanding a transfer because we were crashing out of the premier.

That's so wrong it's hysterical. For starters he was the only outfield player in the whole division to play every minute of every game. during his first season here.

I heard a man in the hairdressers saying he was offered sex by a prossie near the Uni for £3 ffs

Looks like these cheap eastern europeans are undercutting the indegenous prossies ;)

I hope it doesn't start effecting my buisness at Rimmers.....I'll have to ask Jimmy and Badass to take 50% pay cuts otherwise!
