Looked good in flashes today but thought Colbeck was more productive.

Strange though that we play long ball football with 2 fast wingers but we don't play long balls wide over the full backs and stretch them that way. Looked a decent plan the couple of times Don played it long over to Daley's wing.

What a player, scared there defence shitless, made the wrong decisions alot but made the right decision at the end to help us win the game.

If either of them could pass it in the general direction of the forwards after running a few yards with it, instead of launching it into the Kop or being tackled, we would have had about sixteen today. That's including the amount of chances G/Thorne/Barry 'The Monster' Conlon miss as well.

Also midfield was utter dirge AGAIN as well. I'm truly surprised Lincoln did not make us pay, I thought they knocked it about well at times but they created fuck all. We're going to get spit roasted against Hereford by the looks of things if we do not pick up by Satdee.

BTW BB I thought Penford was a shoe in for a start today? :eek:

Bitterley dissapointed he didn't get a game, we were all saying he should of started, but then again, Nix is better and we couldnt play Penford and Nix because then we wouldnt have anyone to support the defence from midfield.

And he loves Evans and you can't drop Nix so Penford had to be demoted dint heee.

Although admittedly we've got knack all to replace him with. Desperately need to bolster this position in Jan. Nix isn't a CM, Phelan never seems to get a chance, EJ can disappear for games on end and Evans is utter garbage.

If we sort the midfield out the defence and forwards should look better....I mean would you look forward to playing upfront for City at the moment?....Wingers who cant cross the ball and cm midfielders who can't create anything?
