Hello all
Im a new user to this meassge board and thought id say hello and ask people opinions on Big Barry Conlan. I moved out to the states 4 years ago and havent got back this season so havent seen the big irish man play. So all i get is feedback from my friends and brothers. Is he worth a starting berth?

Welcom aboard C&B
Conlon and Thorney were Stu's original strike team --
They delivered the goods yesterday --
More time on the field together may do them good

Thorne has the class, Conlon has a few more years on him but maybe tries too hard - maybe some hypnotherapy sessions might solve his panic stricken finishing - 100% battler so worth a place be it in the first 11 or on the bench.

Welcome to the board Nickos, I don't rate Conlon, bench at best, his scoring record at City is laughable and is a benchmark to the over-rated journeymen this club has signed over the last 4 or 5 years.

Thanks for the views. I must admit im suprised with Thorne. When he signed over the summer i was praising him to the high heavens. really expected him to bag the goals this year. Obviously injuries havent helped but must admit from what ive heard when he has been fit he's not really looked the class act that i raved about!! Conlan from what i remember had a coupl eof decent year sat mansfield a few years back and since then hes not done it weather it be darlo, barnsley or us. I hope his 'shinner' against lincoln is the start of a goal rush from the big irishman!!
