It's like the return of the Bower Howler scenario - I even thought this when i heard he was playing as dead leg Clarke was in the sick bay (ffs)

Can't really blame Bower for having a total Muppet in Goal. We will never progress whilst we have a disaster waiting to happen in the net.

It could of been Bowser & his grandad at fault, even though i only listened to it, i thought we left it far too late to make changes, they battered us for the last 20 of the 1st half then all of the second - like sticks kept saying on the radio right from second half kick off we had no outlet upfront and never gave them owt to think about - we just sat back and invited it!!

Thats because he did and thats what he's done for the last 5 games, lately he's been great.
But one mistake later he's crap, dodgy, and a liability...
Urgh, hate City fans.
Hope Willy never plays, you'll all shooot him down.:(

do we really need to go down this road ????? If Ian Huntley was Jamaican you would defend him you cock
I think the problem yesterday was after forcing the opening goal well, we decided to pass it to the P'boro players for the rest of the game to see what they could manage to do.
Surprisingly I thought the defence was great yesterday. The problem was we just gave it back to Posh every time we booted it out. It was like a training game for them. No bottle in midfield at all.
Penford was awful, Evans not much better, Omar can't has got lightening pace but can't beat anyone with it, Thorne is fecked up front on his own, Nix runs about a lot with not a right lot end product (took his goal well though) and Colbeck seems to be our main outlet at the moment, and we all know his failings. I thought he had one of his better games yesterday but that chance he got at the end, you simply have to take those, and he didn't.
None of the front 6 players looked like they could be arsed yesterday, garbage. A team of winners would have pushed forwards and scored a couple more yesterday, despite the pressure, as they were shite at the back. We didn't, that's why we'll be finishing in the bottom half this season.

Your the only person who thinks that!
He was great, he got the ball ON THE FLOOR and released some brilliant passes to Colbeck.
He was alot better than Evans and most peoples MOTM..
Take it you didn't even watch the game..
Im defending someone who isn't Jamaican!:chatter:
But seriously, don't take this guys opinion on Penford peepz, he was good..Many people thought he was.
PMSL apart from the fact he needed 6 touches to bring the ball under control every time it came to him!
He is a talent when he has space, I agree. He had none of that yesterday though with Micah Hyde and that gyppo lookalike, he was in their back pockets. He made a few good passes on the rare occassions he had space, but he was caught in possession umpteens of times and that put us under pressure time and again. He is simply not good enough.
By all means bring him on to cause damage when the game is stretched and he has space to work with but in situations like yesterday we need someone in their who has a good first touch who makes space for himself to find a decent pass, a.k.a. Law. Penford simply isn't in the same league.
Anyway do you mean most of the plebs on the OMB who know feck all about football agree with you that he was the man of the match? Or do you mean normal people agree with you? Because I heard plenty of 'that was shit Penford's yesterday.

Cibasteve foghornleghorn (remember him?) both thought he was MOTM and played great, because in our opinions he did.
When he had space he was great, but when he didn't have space he was still capable of getting the ball out and setting Colbeck free, Macca thought he did well, meening I expect Penford to start on Wednesday, and for the sake of creating chances, I HOPE HE STARTS!
I don't see the point of carrying on this conversation if you're not gonna stop talking bollocks. Have a good Christmas.

My first grumbling since the short(ish) trip up to Peterborough yesterday.
I think Lee's got it pretty spot on, we had absolutely no midfield yesterday, it was dire. I was shocked at how bad Penford was since the last time I saw him; no drive, no wil, didnt even notice that he was playing until the second half! Colbeck was as he was before his loan spell but maybe 20% better. The thing was, for all our pace on the wings, they had pace to match it! Everytime Daley got the ball, he was hacked off it by their midfielders, the referee made some baffling decisions, for and against us!
Peterborough looked sharper and hungrier, especially after our opener. We just couldn't keep the ball. The defence was solid enough, however.
I think that yesterday, our midfield let us down hard. The only players in my eyes who deserve a mention are Nix, Colbeck, Daley and possibly Ricketts for his magical save in the second half.
Too many players let themselves and the team down yesterday and I feel they should pay for it in some way as the support shown to them yesterday was truly magnificent. I normally stay behind to clap the players off but I must've stayed for about 30 seconds before the bitter cold got to me and I had to leave; sod it, I showed my support throughout the game, why should I show it afterwards to a team that lacks ambition and the will to succeed.
Well done to those yesterday who made it sound like it was a home game, great atmosphere and constant singing throughout.
A miserable LB.

We haven't had a decent cm pairing since the Macca/Whalley one IMO :(
Whatever division we've been in the cm pairing as always been poor and made it difficult for us to dominate games!
Still, im sure when midfield general EJ returns we'll be ok

Ayeee, most people escape when there losing a discussion, it's okay BBB does it all the time.

OK mate.
The support was fantastic yesterday, has been for the vast majority of away games that I've been to and even some home ones, which makes it all the more annoying when the team put in such a mediocre performance. P'boro did look better than us anyway but we didn't even get the basics right which is hugely annoying and slightly worrying. I hope we don't carry on playing like this when Willy gets in as he'll end up as ineffective as Thorne.
