90%+ of the pitch playable - could they not have protected the goal area better in view of the forecasts? - saying frost got under the covers when they were lifted on friday for an initial inspection is a fekin joke!!!!!!!!!!!

I bet there's a few grand worth of wasted expenses at VP today.

I look forward to seeing how many other matches get called off.

nah .... means I've gotta put more xmas lights up outside now bah humbug!!!!!!!!

I don't think City wanted the game on today - there's pitch inspections due at Darlo and Rochdale so far - seems many other games are still on.

As Chuckie would say, it would not have happened with GR ...........................

Still we are a bottom half league 2 side so i suppose our set up should reflect that......
..............................just how old are those pitch covers anyway??? - must be 15 years or so - fekked.

They are absolutely ancient....dont most clubs have those massive fans to defrost these areas of the pitch or is that just my daydreaming, im sure ive even seen tinpot non league teams pull them out to help an fa cup game beat the weather

Can't they just boil a few kettles of water and defrost the fecker?

How difficult can that be?

I'm with the moaners on this one, it aint exactly rocket science is it. Sack the groundsmen.

If it wasn't that bad then im sure it would have got even better once the studs broke into the soil.

Saying that, a few others have gone now....Rochdale one of them!

3 games off in the football league and ours is one of them along with Darlo and Rochdale - sort of reflects us well - still we could drop as low as 20th today depending on results elswhere - summat to cheer us all up.
