Can't see it going ahead to be honest. Temp will drop well below zero again tonight, no sun forecast for tomorrow morning so the pitch won't thaw. tdwn:

Can't remember last time a City game was called off for a frozen pitch and it's not like this weather doesn't happen almost every year.

Then again football is getting softer.

Quite often nowadays the pitch is a secondary concern. The club is too frightened of anyone slipping on icy terracing or steps and suing.

Anyone remember when we beat York 3-0 away on that ice rink?

Think Jewell scored one or two tup:

i dont understand why they do a pitch inspection so early. why not do it at 1 as it is only rotherham, and even if they set off by then they wont be at bradford by 1 will they. absolutley ridiclious!

Welcome pd.sim2

There maybe a lot of folks coming from farther away and i think if they leave it too late they have to pay costs to the traveling away side

Its probably more to do with the time the Rotherham players and officials set off more than the fans.

It's just another indicator as to how Fekked the pitch covers are at VP now - max temp tomorrow is about 3 celsius

I reckon it will be called off, will be interesting to see how many other games are in doubt and subsequently called off

Years back they would have spread out straw over the bad areas and insulated the ground from the frost - relying on some old pitch covers that need replacing is p iss poor for a professional club.

Rant over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
