Hi Folks,

I'm busy deciphering my own recordings to edit ZB's transcript.
While at it I thought I'd post some links to the players that came up in conversation as and when I find info on them.

Here is the first, a player coming to Belgium in January:

Gabriel Torres:

He certainly sounds like one for Chuckles' shit pool doesn't he.

Here he is playing for Chepo (white shirts), scorer of the 2 goals:

Here playing for Panama (white shirts), he's number 9 providing the assist:

Is it me, or do they look like they are playing prison rules football?

The Chepo game certainly looked like that.

Here is a very crap link to midfielder David Hallett:

Nearly 24 years old so probably too old for City. Shame he took a few years out of the game as he looks very good.

In ZB's interview, Topping mentions an African player who he says is international standard and is very, very good. Who's this and when is he coming to Mont. and when can we have him?!

That could be the captain of Senegal. Think he's 19. Don't quote me on that though.

Any chance of a pre season friendly against our feeder club, an away game there would be quite acceptable.

A pre-season friendly is part of the arrangement but at VP.

A Message from the President RRFC Montegnee “Paul Topping”

I am pleased to announce that a partnership agreement between English club Bradford City FC & Royal Racing FC Montegnee has been signed.

The first player in the agreement “Willy Topp”, hopes to complete his transfer to Bradford City early next week, with hopefully more to follow in the January transfer window.

This agreement will truly benefit RRFC Montegnee as well as Bradford City, I have briefly outlined the agreement below.

RRFC Montegnee will use its academy & scouting network in the USA, Canada, Central America, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Argentina, Belgium, Africa, Eastern Europe & Australia. To attract the best young & senior players to Bradford City FC.
Suitable players of non EU status will play with RRFC Montegnee, until EU status has been received.
Bradford City FC to loan young players to RRFC Montegnee to gain first team experience.
RRFC Montegnee to receive a sell on clause, on all players placed at Bradford City.
RRFC Montegnee to play an annual pre season fixture at the home of Bradford City “Valley Parade”
RRFC Montegnee will act as the Mainland European academy for Bradford City FC.http://royalracingfc.com/news.php?n=47

Thanks, Z.

Looks like a pre season tour of Belgium, or anywhere else abroad, will have to wait.

With all respect, I know its a good deal but who's gonna want to watch that fixture?

They're hardly Anderlecht are they?

A round robin cup tournament at their place with teams like Anderlecht, Liege, us and Montegnee would be nice little money spinner for them. Showcase some of their players, plus give the bigger clubs a chance to play around with their reserve/first teamers in a pre season friendly. I'd go over to watch that!

We spoke to Paul Topping about it, I suggested that they could arrange a tour of 3.5 countries within an hours radius (Holland, Germany, French Belgium and Flemmish Belgium). Apparently the City board are already having the same idea.

That sounds very interesting.

I think the reason City have not had a decent tours recently is because every season the squad has been totally different. This pre season was about looking at players to plug the gaps in the squad. There would have been no point going anywhere far away for a tour when Macca needed to look at dozens of triallists.

I would imagine next season will be the same story unless Macca gets things well sorted and stabilised in January and early pre season next season.

This is the lad with a shit hot goalscoring record, typical though the site I found a month or so ago with the details seems like it's pissed off into deep cyber space.
