Generally reading between the lines Stuart has hinted that the current crop is not good enough, that he is still learning the division, that he is now beginning to recognise players that he needs and that it's still a managerial learning curve. Mark Lawn is developing links off the field with a view to bringing players in and apparantly more cash is available for players in January, so my question is, at what point do we write this season off? This seems to be turning into a 2 season plan rather than promotion at the first attempt, and lets face it, clubs in the bottom 5 or 6 come November don't rise phoenix like to the top of the table unless they get a freak run of results together such as winning 10 on the trot. I can only really think of Palace in the past few years who have gone from bottom to top in half a season. Anyone agree, or am i talking bollocks?

Lets wait till new year I think but after transfer window there will be no excuses. We have 2 out of 3 games at home now and against beatable teams hopefully we can propell ourselves to mid-table up at xmas then crack on from there with new players tup:

We only need to start really winning 1 in 2 to get into top half of the table, as long as we are there we will always have a chance of gettin on a run and knicking a play-off place.

Currently 10 points off 7th, so couple of wins and that will drop to 6 or 7 possibly, over a season not that hard to make up espcially if we av a bit of cash to either spend on a player or there wages in january.

If we are complaining over a fee of £55k for a striker then I guess there is no cash available now or in January??

The loan players will go back, bar Evans, who after his Deano esk comments in the press, will be as welcome in Blackpool, as an RSPCA Donkey inspector.

Heckingbottom also a possible retainee.

you can't wrtite the season off until the maths says we can't reach the play offs - remember Kamara taking over when we were going nowhere? - I saw enough yesterday that if we can get some goals scored then the play offs are not out of reach - the thought of another season of basement footie does not appeal at all - and they'll want people coming back next season.

I like Hecks, but he's been terrible - if we are to retain him he needs to improve 10 fold!

He improved on Saturday compared to the last few games

I think its been mentioned that 'G' is going back as Gillingham want him. Joynes should go back . I would try and keep Rhys Evans, Harban, Law & Hecky. What about Rhodes and Nix who are on short term deals till January? I think Nix has earned a chance for a longer deal but still not sure about Rhodes.

We definitely need more firepower up front for starters

Well, at the first home game, look at the directors box and if Julian Rhodes is sat in it, then at that point you know the jobs fucked.

Simple really...

If Robson keep's working his wonders at Sheffield United then Law will be back at United trying to prove himself to a new manager.
