I thought Barry Conlon was superb today!

Yeah, he had a decent chance in the first half that he should've burried but apart from that he was outstanding! He worked so hard, ran his bollocks off, had a great touch, held the ball up well and won nearly everthing in the air.

He had a good game at Morecambe and a great gaem today imo and IF we sign Willy Topp I think they'd be a deadly partnership!

Sounds perfect in a centre half position!! Seriously though, he cant score for peanuts, we've had plenty of players 'work hard' but not score. Conlon out

Only one chance? I counted 4 very good chances plus the one late in the game where he hesitated in front of an open goal and a sliding tackle took the ball from his feet.

Apart from seemingly not knowing where the goal is, he is doing the other stuff pretty well.

Conlon had a great game shame nobody near him to pick up the feeds. And yep he is as a good a scorer as Ward but a lot cheaper:p

Can't really complain about any of the players for effort today apart from EJ who never got in the game at all. Thought Nix ran himself into the ground as well

Agree with that apart from the winning everything in the air, i watched out for him in challanges in the 2nd half and he hardly won anything, jumped up for alot and sometimes put them off by doing this but he hardly won any headers. Apart from that though he was very good and did some nice bits of skill aswel.

I too thought EJ was very quite but Stuart praised him in the post match interviews as he explained that EJ took a knock early doors and was limping on occasions.

Therefore he stayed back while Law did most of the attacking midfielder role.

Considering that they played 4-3-3 helped us as well.

Darlo over confident maybe and expected to walk through us?

If thats right about EJ, i'm being unfair to him but if he was struggling maybe Phelan should have come on.

Evans 7 not troubled
Williams 7 best game for City
Hecky 7 back to decent form
Bower 6.5 good display, bad passing again tho
Wethers 6.5 better but caught for pace again
Daley6.5 so frustrating, something good then abysmal
Nix 7.5 worked his socks off, good honest player
Law 7 got better as game went on
EJ 5 quiet game passed him by but possibly injured
G 6.5 one great shot and worked hard
Conlon 8 Best game for City imo although header was bad miss

Rhodes6.5 put Darlo on back foot with his pace in last quarter

yeah EJ picked up a knock in 1st half, i noticed that, he was limping a few times, i thought Phelan was gunna cum on 4 him, but didnt happen. Every1 did well 2day, but even tho im glad we av got a point, 4 me the result worries me more, becoz we seem to hav a real problem scoring at home, we dont hav a regular goalscorer. I was very impressed wiv Law and Heckingbottom 2day, conlon was good also, and i really like Guylain, he shows sum real quality now and agen, but sumtimes he is wasteful, but hes a good skillful player.

My fave player Phelan didnt play :( lol. wen i saw he was on bench, i was gunna shout him over for his autograph wen he was trainin at half time but he dint cum ova my end

Conlon had a good game today, but he desperately needs to work on his shooting. If chances present themself to him like that he's got to take them, end of. It's no use pairing him up with a deadly strike partner because he was the one receiving the chances today.

Impressed with Nix and Law Jr. Dave was a bit poo. Apart from that I thought we were steady away and deserved the win but got to take our chances!

Couldnt pick a really bad player out today just omar being lazy again and crap....at least he realised how to cross a ball in the last 5 mins if he can replicate that for most of the games he plays in and works for the team he may get a 5/10 one day ;)

My MOM was williams he kept that fast fecker in his pocket most of the game when most thought he would be turned inside out. They werent a top 6 side but neither were we.

Yeh OK....There fast as fooook player didn't get anywhere today because Omar was watching him, no one can say Omar was lazy today.... He tracked back superbly and attacked when he had the chance, he got balls in the box and tested there keeper twice..

You have a real problem with him...It's always 'he's shiite' 'hes lazy'

It's like he turned you down or something :chick:

I thought Conlon played well, but his confidence in front of goal is low. His physical presence was effective yesterday but G N-N just doesn't seem able to read the flick ons and Daley i thought was awful yesterday. For once the defence looked good, which in itself was quite unbelievable.

Conlon held the ball up well and laid some good balls through.

Nix the MOTM for me today. He ran his bollocks off and seems to have a great passion for winning.

Good performance as a whole today IMO, and a lot of positives to come out of the game. Just a shame we didnt pick up the full 3.

PS: Who was the Darlo player with the bleached blonde hair and white boots? CUNT!

Conlon is an old fashioned Centre Forward. Anyone see him kick the Darlo player up in the air off the ball? right in front of the ref and got away with it!!

I find Daley frustrating. I think he's lazy, doesn't tackle back at all after 60 mins, hides from the ball on occasions and has no end product.

I didn't think he was lazy yesterday, but think he only had a small influence on the game, later on in the second half.

First half, obvious pass was into the channel for Daley to run onto. All it called for was Daley to anticipate and start the run.

Actual outcome ball played right where it was required, was Daley making his run, no he was stood hands on hips looking at the ball going to the perfect point 20 yards ahead. He is lazy end of argument.

And BBB why would a Jamaican international be playing for them teams? He'll probably move on to a better club with fans who appreciate him..Bet you didn't like JJ did you?

'Cos he was lazy with no end product..

No difference betweem them 2, except the people who know them both more than us think Omar is better...

Then again JJ grew up in Ebglish football soo...

Guess you did not see the team and Daley in particular close the opposition down so well that the ball went out for goal kick after Daley chased down both the left back and the keeper???

Daley is not lazy...that is BS he was excellent today! Lazy he was anything but...nd i think if he gets a run on the Right Wing he will really flourish, something McCall realises, hence his stance on Colbeck.

Also worth noting that everytime Daley gets the ball he has 2 if not 3 opposition players around him! I dont care if your ronaldinho you would find it difficult in that situation.

Also agree that Conlon was excellent today but he really should have scored and had 4 excellent chances. The fact he could not hit the target while he was free in the box with an easy header was poor but during the second half he was excellent!

Ohh okaay then, JJ wasn't lazy...Just every fan except you thinks that because you have some random hate for Daley, every game you pick him out to be shite and lazy...When heres the real deal, he's a good player, and if he was lazy he would NOT be playing, trust me on that..I know a player who gave it bad attitude and is now not even getting the tiniest look in at City.

If you watched the game again and saw how much times Omar tracked back yesterday, you won't call him lazy..JJ was deffinetly lazier...But because he left we all love him...But when he was here none of us appreciated what a good player we had..

If we sold Daley everyone would start saying 'shouldnt of sold him' just like they did with JJ.

HE won't survive long on near misses.
