And i thought McCall had the balls to be a good manager...........i'm starting to wonder! This is what Todd was rightly pilloried for criticisng the young players whilst the experienced ones never seem to get criticised.
What a wonderful boost to his confidence this is going to give the lad.........pathetic Stuart, i expected better.tdwn:tdwn:

To be fair he mentioned him as an example and said they were "others" as guilty as him, but maybe he shouldn't have used a youngster as an example?

Thats my point, he's an easy target, why not have a go and name one of the more senior players. Who is more likely to suffer a loss of confidence/ a young pro wanting to impress or a senior pro?
We all ripped Turd to pieces when he did the same to the youngsters

I agree, using a young lad as an example was unfair, mention some of the older ones as examples as they have broader shoulders and been there done that and should be able to better take criticism.
I blame Daley wasting chance after chance in game after game. :p

Thats right but Maccas not saying he isn't good enough just saying he switched off for 5 mins, maybe he should have said it about a so-called senior player though?

I think the problem is that the Captain of the team should be the one shouting at his team mates as well to keep focused - and It's clearly not happening so the Managers having to do it - we seem to lack leaders on the field.

It seems incredible to me that McCalls scapegoats are always the young players. According to McCall Its Colbecks fault,Its Penford and Bentham who should be loaned, Its young Ainge. It seems its never his useless half hearted senior players -Daley,Rhodes,Nsumba,Johnson ,Heckingbottom,Williams,The crap Goalie (both of them). This is not good management.

Ainge was one of the few that looked awake, not the other way round.

He probably spoke of a few and the reporter just jumped on Ainge
Wethers may by getting slow but plenty of Prem CBs are slow also -- but they use their experience to gain the yards back -- Wethers doesn't seem to be doing that nor does he seam to be organizing the defense verbally

Exactly Wisey - leadership/organisation is lacking
Stu need s to be installing discipline/concentration by individuals - who know and understand what is required during play and set pieces - those who forget have to be reminded by the players with experience and leadership who can organise the "troops"
The team is too dis jointed when there should be partnerships within the team starting with the central pairing at the back. central midfield, front two full backs and the wide midfielders - unfortunately we do not see this at the moment - due to changes/injuries and some cases a failure to be able carry out what is being asked by them (these individuals up to it?)

I like the fact he's actually criticised someone - not sure if the kid deserved it but I hated the whole "I'm not gonna name names" shit - it was getting old and the gaffer needs to do some kicking of some sort.
