Try Squaddie by Steven McLaughlin
Not a bad insight to the forces from a guy who only joined at the age of 30 and stayed in for 3 years..
Still not a bad effort and alot is pretty much spot on.. Better books out there by more experienced fellas but this one is for me aimed more at the civi wanting to know how things happen..
Tad too much slagging of the system but some of it spot on...
