For those wanting to enter the prize money Fantasy Football League here is the code;

The name of the League is;

C&B Big boy's League.

Enter now if you want to play. I will set paypal account up later in the week.

I will close entries to the league at ten o'clock on Saturday morning and anyone not paid or given a firm pledge of payment will be removed.

If he is happy to do so, I propose to give Baldy, administrator rights to the league after all entries are in, if possible and the log in and password for the paypal account and he in turn can delegate any responsibility he wants to share.

If you are a definite to enter, post in this thread, indicate how you wish to get your entry in (paypal, loan or whatever) and also give your preference for Prize money distribution (Winner takes all, 1st and 2nd or Top Three)

I have to say i'm with z on this.

I just feel all this takes it a way from "banter" which is what the board aims at....

It takes it away from the original league which was set up for fun and the only reason given for a different league is for confident participants to "make money"...

Sorry if this is a misinterpretation but its just the way i see it...

I thought the prestige of winning was enough to play for and ensured the competition was kept to banter between members.

The name of the league doesn't matter. The identity of its manager doesn't matter.

I legitimately pointed out that the game is split between this thread and the sticky and should be merged. It led to the confusion of me having set up a league in one place at the same time as Chuckle did in another place. Hardly surprising if I was following the "sticky" that I did not spot the new league in the other thread and I take exception to being ridiculed for an easy mistake to make.

The tone since then means that I see that the seriousness of the stakes is going to detract from the fun so I now choose not to take part whereas I thought I would at first. I just think it's going to become something else to argue about, à la last season's simple prediction league.

These games are just for fun and as soon as they are no fun any more it's time to stop.

yep, the scoring will be done centrally but I just got a flavour of the stuff on here and opted out.
