If Stuart doesn't come out and state his intentions this week, the whole farcical situation will descend into an even bigger shambles.
Its becoming an embarrassment in my opinion. Already, we are losing out on players released by other clubs because of the uncertainty. Get it sorted quickly!!:(

Why is the onus on Mcall to speak? He is not the one who has decided to conduct an embarassing campaign of emotional blackmail and begging in the press. Mcall has no pressure on him at all, he was a fine servant of this club, if not the finest - he has done more than enough for city. Its time Rhodes started living in reality, as the contracts have to be confirmed at the FA by Saturday - besides with what Mcall said in the tabloid papers today and what Sean Bean rather funnily said on Look North last night I would be amazed if Stuart is not in the Managers seat at Bramall Lane come the weekend - Good Luck to him.
Well said BD12 - McCall made his position quite clear, he would wait until the end of the season and see what happened at Sheffield United before making his decision, developments at Bramall Lane are far from over.
It's not McCall's fault that JR is dangling his name as a carrot for the gullible. I very much doubt SM will be coming here and I think he'd be mad to do so.

I'm not so sure that he'd be mad to do so, but look at it from Stuarts point of view. He is guaranteed a job somewhere, whether that be at City, the Blades or another club, so what harm does it do him to sit tight for a few days? You cannot blame him for that, after all, he is in a very strong position and is probably watching developments at Bramhall Lane for the time being.

Given the finances i would agree - if they are to remain the same. However if - a big "if" these are improved and the manager will be given funds to begin rebuilding - not just for this season then it might worth considering for McCall.
Sheff Utd have to be favourites if Warnock goes though.

Just thought he could put all this to bed with one statement either way. The longer it drags out, the more the club suffers in its plans

Yep, McCall knows either way what he is gonna do - he needs to put us out of our misery!!

I don't think its so difficult to read, Warnocks postion at Sheff U looks untenable and he has obviously pissed the board off bigtime. Now Mcall is simply waiting to see if he is given the job, as the chairman said he would be. If - in the unlikely event that does not happen, he will then, and only then look at City - as no way would he continue as just a coach under a new regime.Put simply he wants to manage Sheff U as a preference, and who can blame him? But he is definitely not going to comment about Bradford first.

JR has said he wants McCall as his and the clubs next manager and wants to speak to him when he is available..
What is wrong with that...
The only fools are those who are moaning about this being an issue...
Macca will be sorting out the clubs future since the Blades just went down 2 days ago ffs...
By the end of next week JR should state what is going on re the management side of things ie it's progression...
This allows enough time for the end of season sackings and gives those wanting the job of City manager enough time to sort out their CV's..
Always been the trouble with City fans..Everything now or else...
Time is on our side as we will not be signing players that are wanted men... So the new Manager has plenty of time to see what is still breathing and has two legs come end of June/July... Although either is seemingly optional:sorry:
Just fooking calm down and wait like every other club does.......PMSFL..
Even if a manager signs today he's got less than 3 months to try and turn something sinking faster than the titanic into a team that will survive or, given the expectation amongst City fans, go straight up again next season.
I'd rather we appointed someone sooner rather than later to be honest, as whoever it will be he will have a big job on his hands.
This does however mean we can offer the job to Warnock jawdrop:

if warnock does leave i think the board at blades would be mad to let stu go as he could potentially be a top notch manager. they are not going to let him slip thru their fingers and come to city are they? i have never thought he'd come to city hand on heart, that's not to say for a second that i wouldn't welcome him to VP again with open arms if he did ha ha.
