i think any manager was fooked that season at city, after the team was broken up by new signings and the togetherness of the first season vanished.

He was quoted as saying it about three months into Jim Jefferies Reign and he was spot on. It was always going to be difficult that season but the way Jambo Jimbo gave up the ghost within an hour of signing his contract and sorting his useless mates out with well paid jobs is the reason that Jefferies is the biggest crock of shit ever to sit in the manager's office at Valley Parade.

know where you're coming from Chuck, but i reckon JJ regretted taking the City job after the first couple of weeks and would have wanted to go then.
He's done a good job up at Killie - although the SPL is more like Super League for competition.
Hutchings never had the chance to manage at VP, he's obviously a reliable no.2 and maybe worth a crack somewhere, despite that I'm unconvinced that he's the man for Wigan in the Premiership, they struggle to attract players as it is - this won't help.

Thing with Hutchings, both with us and now, is that it's asking a lot of someone to make a managerial debut in the Premiership without first gaining experience in the lower leagues.
