The pivotal thing about Stu returning to City is Warnock, if Warnock doesn't stay at Sheffield, the chances are Stu will take over the reigns there.

However, City's new investor is thought to be Mark Lawn and alledgedly he has spoken to Stu and he has until Wednesday to make a very difficult decision, otherwise it's between Peter Jackson and Wethers.

Is this the guy with the van hire business who was scared off by Peter Etherington last year? I notice on the BCST site that Mark Lawn was given a thank you for taking part in last weeks fundraising game at Barnsley along with a certain Stuart McCall. (Am i putting 1+1 together and coming up with 4 billion?)

Yes Tyneside, that's the same man.
As I said Stu has been given a deadline as to when we need an answer from him. Only Stu knows what the answer is, we should know by around Thursday. However Warnocks likely departure has thrown a big spanner in the works for City

Oh and whilst I am pissing on your collective Strawberries; There is no potential investor either.

Wetherall will be appointed by the end of the week and I will delight in seeing all you Rhodes Bumboys saying through gritted teeth what a great appointment that it is.....

Todd did have a cast iron contract till 2009. I just doubted Rhodes had the balls or the brass to terminate it. Which he wouldn't have had until Junior realised the peasants were revolting which made him ask Daddy for another hand out to pay him off.

There are going to be a lot of sad faces about the place when City's next manager is appointed Parrot and I didn't have you as one of the gullible ones that are falling for all this McCall bollocks.

I for one will be delighted if Jackson gets the job, but I haven't been dim enough to be taken in by the Stu is a realistic target bollocks. But sadly I think Wethers will get the nod this week.

But both are realistic targets.

Whoever gets the job it's going to be the arse end of the table next season anyway, because the faullt with the Club isn't the manager past or future. It's the Chairman and until that fuckwit vacates the Club, the downward spiral will continue, Stu, Jacko, Wethers or any other moron daft enough to take the job won't halt a thing.

I very much doubt Stu will come anywhere near the club Chucks:( ...its just that your stubborn stance on the subject reminds me of the one you had when people mentioned Turd been sacked! ;)

I dont think for one minute Macca will come here, i mean who in their right mind would work under JR?

It's not Stubborness, it's common sense. Whoever comes here as manager won't improve our slide. The reason we are sinking like we are is the conditions that Rhodes gives his managers to work under. Why would a legend like Stuart want to be remembered as the man who took us out of the football league and be the front line target for the abuse generated by Junior's ineptitude?? If Junior was to announce his resignation then McCall would be a realistic target. But in Rhodes we haven't a Chairman with the charisma or ability to attract a Manager like McCall and we also have a Chgairman who wouldn't have the balls to appoint a legend like McCall who wouldn't be the fans first point of vitriol when the slide becomes terminal!!

That is why McCall won't be our next manager.

Jewell has resigned from Wigan. Expect JR to announce they are in talks to push Season Ticket sales..... oh wait, they still haven't gone on sale.....

Jewell will be manager, Stuart director of football & Edhino will return to lead the line in league 3!

And best of all the Bantams Bar is to be renovated on a Belle Vue Tavern theme with Bobby Campbell as Landlord.

I don't think he'll come, I think he'll be the new manager of Sheffield United.:(

It's a shame, but ahh well.

And Wethers will probably get the job....Cheap option isn't it.

I think there is very little chance at all of Stu being nominated manager of Sheffield United. There is much more chance of him being made manger of our City.

I'm so bored of this now. Just appoint a bloody manager soon. When is the promised 3 weeks up?

I'm still not convined we would have much of the expected success with Stu anyway and if he plays like Warnock's teams do it wont be particularly exciting football either.

I think Micky Adams, Paul Hart or Rob Kelly would good appointments.
