W*nkers! You useless tw*ts! The other two significant results both went our way this afternoon and all we had to do was keep hold of a lead. But noooooooooo -- that would be way to easy, wouldn't it!!?? Gits!

??? that was a good performance by City. Another result robbed from us by the ref. I think JC can count himself unlucky to be sent off for kicking the ball away. I thought every player played well today, at least in terms of fight and even Edghill had an OK first half.

And what a goal - the best I've seen in a long time. First time I've been happy with Ashikodis display, though I wasn't there on Saturday. I'm hopeful of an escape.

fair play as you were there but they must know that kicking the ball away is potentially a bookable offence so i've got no sympathy with colbeck who has let the team down badly IMO. hope we can take something to the south coast and get a win from nowhere.

You are correct - he should know better. The guy was really P'd off as the ball had gone out of play as he rode a foul by their player ands the ball ran away from him. I have to say that he should leave himself in there to be taken out a bit more than he does instead of riding the challenge. Had he done so, there player would have been booked and he'd have remained on the pitch. It was kicked away in frustration, not a time wasting tactic.

The ref likes to make a name for himself as he did in his last visit to VP. A shame really as he'd not done too bad up to then.

Again we were happy to sit on a 1-0 lead instead of making changes and continuing to push forward. Kelly Youga played well thrughout the game and desrved the MOTM award he was given. Others had good games though I thought Edgehill played to his usual :poo: standard. Colbeck had some terrible moments and IMO he should have been substituted before he saw red. There was no way he should have kicked the ball away, knowing full well he was already on a yellow and the ref blew for everything all afternoon :(. Thanks for that Colbeck. Some players seemed to give the fighting spirit we had been asking for. tup:

Having said that, I think we would have still been content to have Oldham push us into our own half rather than taking charge of the game and adding to our goal. Why do we always do that? It was a case of when Oldham were going to score, not if and then once they did score we were lucky to hold on to the draw.

Leading up to our goal we had some good play coming forward but lack the presence, skill and imagination in the box to make the pressure count. Who'd think that we had a 20-a-goal striker on our books playing for someone else when we are in this position?

The ref blew for everything but how easy is it to blame the referee for us dropping points? And how many games can he be responsible for us messing up?

The ref was a cnut

Colbeck played like a cnut and probably cost us the extra 2 points as down to 10 men knocked us right back and we had little shape then.

Still there is hope and it could still go to the last game to settle it - some interesting games coming up.

Great suport from the City fans today as well and another decent crowd.

good to hear, i'm a firm believer that it can, very very occasionally, make a difference.... for other teams!

I predicted before the match a 1-1 draw and would have taken that. I was hoping for chesterfield win though.

Both teams thought the ref had a bad game which in a round about way meansh probably had a fair game. I thought he was average. He made no howlers and was just a bit picky but was looking for advantages and waited to blow his whistle whcih i admired.

That is the best i have seen city play in along while and i cant pick out anybody who had a bad game from Donovan to Ash. i thought it was a sound performance. I was very proud of the teams approach and mentality and ultimatley the performance overall.

Ultimatley the referee had no choice but to send colbeck off, but i dont think he would have if is was still 0-0 as Schuey mentioned on Radio l##ds.

Tactically i thought it was very good, but relied on numbers 1 - 11 all pulling their weight which imo they did but might not be the case in the future. I cant see how we could have carried on attacking but the sending off meant we couldn't get the ball away and hold it up front.

I think these two draws may mean we've partially turned the corner and with 4 games to go, 4 points behind we should not be out of it. Plus the fixtures are now against 2 relegation candidates and two mid table teams.

I think the fact Brentford are mathematically relegated will be a weight off their minds and the fact Rotherham soon will be should also help.

We are still fucked however you look at it, the fact it will take us two games to stand any chance of pulling ourselves out of the relegation zone and we have only 4 left means we have to hope for not just one slip up but two from at least two teams above us, a win today would have given us a chance, even a win and a defeat in these two games would have been better than two draws, so OK we were unbeaten but we are floating down shit creek without a paddle.

A good display by City spoiled by Colbeck imo. He had an ok game but had 2 daft bookings. The first one was a bad, bad tackle that you could see coming from 2 minutes earlier. He tinned out of a tackle and he got a right mouthful from E Johnson (who had a decent game in centre mid I thought). You just knew the next 50-50 he was going to go in really hard. The 2nd booking was just frustration kicking the ball away but he should know better when he's on a booking with a ref who looked like he was itching to book people all day. That left us having to Paynter out wide right and so we only had 1 up front. The defence sat on the penalty box and every time they cleared it, it came straight back because there was only one man up front. It was only a matter of time before they scored. We were doing ok 11 v 11 so I have to blame Joe C for today.
We can still stay up though. If we play like that against the 2 relegation rivals and against the 2 teams with nowt to play for we should stay up.

we needed a win didnt get one its over if we did get out of this it will be the greatest of great escapes, but alas it wont happen these players do not have the courage or determination to help us.

Rick is right up the shitiest of creeks without so much as a lollipop stick to paddle with, lets just hope we are still in business for next season and the scum go down as well

Look at the remaining fixtures for each team and you will see it's very interesting now - I can picture it now, a diving header from Wetherall in the 92minute against Millwall keeps us up :-)
