Article from the Trust Chair following discussion with JR about what might happen if we do go down.

Much obliged, I'll put my armour on now ready for the flak! ;)

"Would relegation spell the death knell of these hopes? Not necessarily, if there are 10,000 adult Bantams who are prepared to dig deep, throw their weight behind the Club in time of need, and create a similar atmosphere in League Two, where the crowds at other grounds would be smaller, and the finances stretch further"

You see that is where the problem is ;) No way are 10,000 going to pledge anyway and it seems to be off the radar that those who pledged won't follow it up with a league 2 side.

It reads like rhetoric from JR to me... essentially he is saying what he says every season... that as long as we sustain desired attendances we will be financially viable.

I'm not convinced at all with JR's record season after season on the financial side as later on each season sees mini-crises after mini-crisis even though the club acheives it's attendance figures.
How much longer can we rely on funds coming in for promising players... we lost JJ and Widearse this seaon but where is DA MONEEE!
Moreover... how are the catering and sports deals gonna bear fruit if the pledge fails and attendance significantly fall?

Sorry but I can't get any feeling of optimism from being relegated... none whatsoever!!

Thats when Comical Ali, I mean JP came out and said that finances hadn't been as planned even when we averaged gates of over 8,000 for the period. For the figure to be out like that they must have expected gates of 13,000.

It's all bullshit.
