What is it that makes City so uninvestable?
Every other club seems to have people who are willing to invest money but it seems nobody will touch City with a bargepole. JR churns out his talk of potential investment when its ticket renewal time. This year its the shadowy promise of a return by McCall.
Just about everyone has seen through his strategy now and apathy is reaching an all time high.
Did Richmond and Rhodes create so many enemies in and outside of the game that we are being slowly strangled to death because of their legacy.
The whole atmosphere around the club stinks the place out with shambolic management, non-existent PR and a couldn't care less attitude to the long suffering fans until their money is wanted.
What happened to the Progressivism of the 1980's/90's.
If this sounds depressing its how i feel about City at the moment and although i've been a season ticket holder for over 35 years and seen all the bad times and tragedies unfold, i've never felt as apathetic towards the club as i do at the moment.
Rant over.
Too many people have had their fingers burnt, thats what it comes down to.
If you were going to invest in something you'd do a bit of research and only a little bit of research would take you to Gibb and the way he was screwed over.
After the first admin some people were saying they wouldn't put money into City whilst Richmond was still there, it seems after the second admin many people lost faith in Rhodes too.
What is needed is a clean sweep and someone to take the club off Juniors hands, who's going to do that I don't know but that is the only way this club will get back some credibility and for people to think about investment.

Why would the sugar-daddy chairman model work for us? It clearly hasn't since we found out most of the "investments" were tied to leases, loans and HP! At least JR is trying to get some self-sustainability to the Club.

If the man had half the business acumen that he should he would have a thriving marketing department, a transparent PR machine and would not have leased off the catering and shop.

I get the impression Junior is just looking to make sure HIS club - that HE invested HIS money into gives HIM a return?
He is not likely to walk away without some return on his cash investment...who would?

I agree Ernie but these methods are slowly draining all life out of the club, i know a lot of people who were good City fans for a lot of years but now they literally couldn't give a s**t for the club. Why is that and if we can all see it, why can't JR.
His investment is worth squat if nobody is there to watch.

Can't think of anyway that he is going to get a return on his investment. The company has to be successful and/or have assets for that to happen.
The only way he is going to get out of this is to walk and to take his guarantees with him.You would have thought by now that he would have realised that nobody will come in and take his guarantees off his hands.
Whatever happens he isn't going to be starving or living in a council house.

NOT saying I agree withhis views - he put money into the club - as it is the club he reputes to love - not for business reasons ( opps was that cynical of me??)
