I think the favourite's a decent price, Gentleman's Deal at 5/1 or 11/2 in places.

Of the rest the fav seems to have the measure of Very Wise, although this one has been going in the right direction. Kepp an eye on the market for Raptor a raider from Germany, which has been running in better class handicaps but might be a bit exposed with little experience.

One for the outsider backers is Mutawaffer, who has been running over 10 furlongs but looks as if that's too far for him. Going back to a mile might just be right and he could be a decent value each way bet at 16s+.

Will that do for you? Don't blame me if they run like donkeys!

I wouldn't touch My Paris, he doesn't seem classy enough for this! ;)

to be fair. it could have been a bit more in depth SFB! you obviously like a flutter using the key words like 'exposed' etc, when you guesting on the morning line then?! my paris is just one i know about but when i've finished this decorating i'll be on the internet having a proper look at those you mentioned and the rest. that mutawaffer, is it still with fahey then? i heard easterby has another runner too, further down the betting, he's a fiddling barsteward that one!

Yes, still with Fahey.

I don't do a lot of betting just know how to read the form. Got my rundown from the above.

Used to work in bookies, Skye, hence the use of words like "exposed". Before you know it I'll be "trotting" out more equine language!

oh no, so it begins. as if cheltenham wasn't enough and the flat season is upon us and it's time to start following david barkers sprinters again - so that's 2 to back ALREADY in the second race. good luck with your bets in the lincoln i now fancy blythe knight (crap draw) and granston (??) a bit too. oh dear.

Result:

1. Very Wise 9/1
3. Mutawaffer at 10/1

So me drawing a line through Very Wise worked with the fav trailing in 12th or something! My Paris came 5 th, but nice to see my each way bet that I advised at 16s+ came in! Shame I don't follow up on these dead certs! ;)
