Rotherham have parted company with manager Alan Knill.
The Millers, who had 10 points deducted for going into administration are 13 points adrift of safety in League One after failing to win in 14 games.

A club statement said: "This action was not taken lightly, but it was felt that this was the only option considering our recent plight."

Mark Robins has been handed responsibility of team affairs for Saturday's game with Bradford.

Knill, who was in his second spell as manager of the club, has been manager of the club since December 2005.

He won just 18 of his 68 games in charge of the club.

Do we fear a back lash at the weekend or will The mighty bantams roll over an already lost cause?

Is this the Millers last chance to push for survival and hope a wonder manager can come and save the day? (sounds very familiar, doesn't it)

How things change, they were singing his praises earlier this season.

It smacks of desperation to be honest. I can't see them getting out of the drop zone so this is probably a money-saving decision as they prepare for next year with less income.

Not all teams who change their manager get a win in the first game....

...Bradford City 0 - Crewe Alexander 1

Aye, and what has he done since?

If memory serves me right, the last time we played Rotherham they were on the back of 13 games without a win, they came to our place having just sacked Harford, I think Knill was caretaker, we lost 2-1, they are now on the back of 14 without a win, they have just sacked Knill, de ja vu anybody?

It matters not what they have done since, simply the point being that in his first game in charge Curbishley got a win, what's to stop Robins doing the same. What happens after that doesn't matter to us as we will have lost to Rotherham and will find ourselves in the mire!

So if Weatherall had won his first game in charge, you wouldn't be bothered what happened in subsequent games?

Of course I would because that's for Bradford City. I'm not bothered how well or badly Robins does other than on Saturday, where I want him to have a shocker of a debut in the dugout. My point was new managers can also win their first games!

Sorry sfb, wasn't meaning to doubt your affinity to the cause, just plain misunderstood what you were trying to say.
