When the Club's fortunes don't improve due to the change of manager, will you finally accept that the problem at Bradford City lies beyond the manager's office at Valley Parade?
Nope, he don't pick which shitpool players sign the manager does :D

Funny thing was his reasoning...
He is shit now why???? Cos he finally sacked a guy you said he wouldn't???
Your piss poor slating of a man who has obviously shunned your affections at some point is now so boring i reckon even a 24hr chatathon on Labours successes by Roy Hattersley and Neil Kinnock would seem more interesting...
Stick to bigging up anyone and everything none City..
Boring boring david

Do you think that City are about to have an upturn in fortune tone? I mean you defended Todd's record right up till the very end so it seems a bit bizarre that the removal of Manager you didn't want removed would in your eyes indicate a good thing.
I've said from day one that Todd was a make do manager. Theres fuck all in the pot to replace him with anything other than another make do manager. This make do manager will have the same squad of loanees, rejects and incompetent bosses to work with. So I think I am more than safe in assuming that the change of manager won't achieve fuck all. We might stay up, but we would have probably stayed up anyway and if we go down, It'll be more to do with the Asset Stripping of the Team this last month or so that will be responsible.
So, I ask again tone, given your admirable approach to defending under fire managers at City, if the results don't improve, who's fault will it be? It won't be Todd's because he's not there and it won't be "new bloke" because he's not going to be able to build a team given the loans are used up and theres no pot to piss in.

Now that is a proper post and one i am happy to reply to Dave..
I did back to the very end Mr Todd for the resaon that this season no matter where we are now he would not of got us relegated IMHO...
Saying that a chairman has to look at other things... Any other club in the country less Villa lol would of sacked a manager with his current record.
Difference between the two though are it is O'Neils first season...
In the grand scheme of things it does scare me that what i considered a dead cert survival plan under Todd has now gone. However the atmosphere at the next two home games will change from the boo boys to at least during the first 5 mins against crewe to one of new belief.
I admire JR for making his decision and shaking things up all be it that all he has done is remove Todd.
I hope Wethers has the same impact as other new managers do in that an upturn of form and self belief will be installed into the players.
Will this happen??? Neither you nor i Dave have that answer but in our position if you remove your hate for JR, you know it would have happened under any other board.
I have been saying this should be Todds last season as a new guy may be able to change mid table to top six. I also said that the same new guy could change mid table to bottom four...
Once again mate i am prepared to give this a chance...

Its not just a matter of a make-do manager. I don't know if Wethers is the man but i believe he has the respect of the dressing room & that in itself can make players perform better if they have belief in the boss.
Todd seemed to alienate certain groups of players at certain times & messed them about without justification. I think Wethers is more intelligent than that & will have watched and learned. Plus the fact that the players will want to perform to earn contracts or moves away , hopefully will show an upturn in performances.
As Wethers said, its now a 14 game season, lets see what happens before judging his merits or mistakes

I don't Hate Rhodes I just think he's useless. Nothing he's done since his second admin does anything to indicate otherwise.
If there is a manager that could turn this squad into top six, I'd want him to take the England job too, because he'd be the best manager on the planet. A quarter of the first team don't even belong to Bradford City FFS!

When did Todd ever have more than 1 boss, Dave. Come on get it right there's only one Toymaster!
