With Christiano Ronaldo as Player Assistant Manager and Sir Alf Ramsey as Coach!!!
Thought I'd set the ball rolling with the ridiculous suggestions!!tup:
Bryan Robson with Carlton Palmer as the dream team.

Its no more ridiculous than many other of the suggestions, including Ritchie, Reid and anyone else who has experience!!
McCall is not guaranteed to be a success as a manager and is totally un-tried. Therefore he would be a gamble at the moment by any club!!
I have said all year that if McCall is ever to be City manager(and a success) it has to be this year - before someone else gambles on him in the close season when he is without a contract at Sheff Utd!!
edit( of course i mean McCall without your back-room staff above);)

Macca wants a managers job. We know that much. He is not going to be offered anything above league 1 unless Warmcock calls it a day soon at Sheffy Utd.
So is Macca going to turn down the City job because we have no money... and wait another 2 or 3 years for something decent to come along?
Is Macca going to turn down a job where he is likely to be given 3 years as a complete failure before being sacked, so time aplenty to really make the job his and time to ride any rough patches, learn the ropes and eventually be a success... and he's going to wait for a job to come along where there is a 500k transfer budget but with no job security as he's an untried manager?
Is Macca going to turn City down because he is a legend and doesn't want to tarnish his record here? Well some of you said he'd never come back as a player for the same reasons but he took us to the promised land and kept us there.
Macca is coming home so you better start believing it folks.

Bollocks! McCall would be a complete idiot to take the job now! Maybe in a few years when circumstances are different he'd be perfect for the job but I feel we need someone proven that can turn things around! And the sooner we get someone permenent in the better!

The only proven managers we are likely to be able to get are managers who are proven crap.
The only exception might be Dolan but I'd prefer him as a supporting role to a fresh young manager.

How many in the game are not proven crap at one club or another.????
What the fook do you think is quality enough for the City job ffs...
Ferguson??? Mouriniho???Benitez???? Wenger???? Cos after these there isnt many who have proven themselves quality managers...
Everyone else has been sacked at least once with a lot more being sacked 5 or more times....
It does make me laugh when talks about new managers and their credentials come around...
Dowie did miracles at Palace then got sacked then took Charlton job and was sacked for shite results....
Reid well ffs where do you start..
Terry Dolan fpsmfl....
Explain to me what is a manager worthy of the job means.....????
Who ever is short listed will always have to suffer the few who doubt him....Cos no matter how well they do the doubter will just sit and wait for that moment they can have in the lime light of "i told you so""..
I already feel for Wethers as i know if two or three results go against maybe even less, then the pack will be unleashed....
A hasty new man will be appointed and the circle starts again....
I could slate any manager who is appointed in one way or another but i will give the guy the benefit of the doubt and back em....How many on here can truthfully say the same...
Terry fooking DOLAN pmsfl......tup:

Whats your big hang up on Dolan T? ....He saved us from relegation when we were dead and buried, was one win away from the old First division, reached the 5th round of the FA cup, Q/F of the league cup, knocked Tottenham, Everton, Southampton & Oxford out of the cups when they were all First division clubs....How many City managers could boast that in the last 50 years?
BTW I wouldn't want him as manager as i feel we need a younger, enthusiastic man at the helm, but wouldn't scoff at his return in some other capacity!tup:

And all that happened when????
Can you fill me in with what has happened since in his illustrious career...
I know what he did P i went to around 80% of the games he was in charge of...
O'Leary too Leeds to Champs League semi final...
McClaren took Boro to UEFA....
If you look hard enough some guys from the past did really amazing things but since then they have died in each job there after...
Dolan was good in his day but his day is long gone...
This club needs someone to come in and give it a huge shake up....Wethers may be able to do it who knows...
My choice though would be for a complete new manager and assistant full stop....Not from the past as they are on an even quicker hiding from the OUT OUT OUT brigade cos they have gone before...
Dolan would be a disasterous appointment full stop imho..
