View Full Version : Rhodes Out!!

Look at the facts now people. This man is a pube width from destroying your football club. I honestly predict that this football team will not exist beyond the summer unless a sustained campaign for his removal gains pace as soon as possible.

It's alright saying, who else is there? But if Junior stays there is no club, end of. The club is Haemorrhaging money for no other reason than Julian Rhodes is incapable of knowing what to do with it or how to manage or use it's assets. It is bleeding to death because there is nobody capable of marketing it to the public, new customers and stayaways.

He'll give dickheads like David Ward with no other motives than to serve his own ambition the facilities to try and attract a cross section of the community who traditionally never have and never will have an interest and desire to pay to watch a football game, whilst neglecting to market a campaign to get folk in who will come back again and again.

He'll alienate and shift the blame for his own and people around him's errors to a Supporters Organisation who raised valuable funds and would have got more people behind the club than shysters like David Ward could ever dream of just because they refused to toe the "Yes Julian" Line of other supporters organisations who have inactivity and non communication as their trademarks

He'll turn a blind eye to the appaling product he serves up in the name of Bradford City football club, despite the fact that the valuable custom he is clinging onto by his fingertips is becoming more and more disenchanted by what little they get back for their admission money. He can't correct the failure of the fundemental cause of bringing the paying customer through the gate, because his own stupidity has priced the club out of removing the reason a lot of people are staying away. He'll then compound that even more by the removal of key players to be replaced from the shitpool

The 10,000 Season Ticket Pledge is a desperate ploy to keep the club going by a man bereft of ideas. Even the most ardent Rhodes apologists must see this? The scheme is doomed to failiure even in the unlikely event it is a success. Similar schemes have proven a failure elsewhere and what ever the motivation for it's introduction, two things are clear;

1) He needs the money from the scheme to keep the club going through the summer.

2) When that money is used during the close season, there'll be no money coming in during the next season to pay the bills, wages, etc. What good will your 138 quid season ticket be then eh??

I will now answer the question to the $64,000 dollar question, "Who Else Is There?"

I don't fucking know!! There is the answer.

But one thing is for certain, it is worth trying to persuade Rhodes to find someone and offer it on the cheap, because I am 100% certain that if Rhodes stays put, this club is as good as dead!

Even the most loyal Rhodes Supporters must now be beginning to see this?? It's time to forget how daft you look for the unwavering and undeserved support and defence of the man and to start calling for his head at games, writing to the T&A and the gent etc! If it's made clear that due to his actions he's no longer wanted, it might set the wheels in motion to giving us some kind of future.

I have and never had any doubt of Julian Rhodes standing as an uber supporter of this football club. I am sure in his heart he's undeniably City Through and Through. Unfortunately since his fall out with Gibb and his near suicidal act of putting the club into Administration for the second time, I have never had any doubt that Julian Rhodes was nothing like competent or capable enough of leading this football club. His tenure has now got to end!! This club will almost certainly die unless it does!!

I don't particularly disagree that he's not the man, but the club won't die if he stays on.

The worst that will happen is a 3rd administration, at which point we probably will get a new man in charge because the football league won't allow Rhodes to be in charge after being involved in a third administration (that's their official policy.

Administration isn't pleasant, but we know from experience that it isn't the end of anything.

The club won't survive another Administration, It's paper thin reputation will be damaged beyond repair for starters.

Now somebody has to help me out here ! You see, during the last admin period, we were told in no uncertain terms (not by JR or anyone connected) that there would be NO 3RD ADMIN !!

Not only that but that but if we headed in that direction there would be NO CLUB !! and that this was our last chance !

Please dont quote me stats, figures etc. I was there I heard it all remember !

good post , i coudn't agree more, the club is a complete joke from top 2 bottom, the board is a disgrace, most of the players are a disgrace and the manager is a jordi tosser. the only place we're goin is league 2 until someone else takes control of the club, we suck big time and if we survive it will be by sum miracle.

Yer mon, saw Julian in reception, he looked out of it, he looked confused, he looked shabby, he looks like a man who has lost the plot.

I don't know this and that etc, and TBH, I just want a football club :(

What do you mean "he looked out of it"?

I think if I were in his position I would look the same!

I too just want a football club but without massive change I fear it wont happen.

So you didnt see him in reception ? it was ciba - and yes I do believe what he says.

The thing is, its our club that is being f.cked with at the moment - the one we all saved - and thats whats realling p/ss/ng me off !

They can play games by all means but not with this club !

He also went on to say he's done all he can for the club.

I don't think he's that much of a *whatever* that Chuckle etc make him out to be.

I seem to remember reeading somewhere that a 3rd admoinistration would not not be looked on favorably by the FL and would lead to the club being cast out of the football league - thereby having to apply for inclusion at the bottom of the football pyramid.

The positives the club does have is the support of 7,000 fans who have stayed loyal and ermmmmmmmm.........thats all folks!!!!!!! :-(

3rd Administration and Bradford City will be plying it's trade in the bottom tier of the UniBond League. TheFA confirmed this when we came out of administration as did Rhodes and Kroll.

We get it wrong this time we'll have the biggest ground in the Unibond League.

At least then we would have rid of Todd & would start winning some games

Seriousley, Is this club close to admin for a third time,if so how can it be avoided without investment?

Depends which rumour / source you listen too, But seriously - Not quiet ready for the administrators yet. If next season's gate's commerical income dont improve ... Expect Rhodes to call Kroll and get them to sack the players again in a bid to save some cash.

well I am not into gloating, but suffice to say just because somebody is not always spouting forth on how good they are doesn't mean to say that they are crooked or not working their socks off behind the scene's. This is exactly what JR has been doing.

1. Brought in McCall as manager,
2. Brought in new Investor/Joint Director
3. Debts all gone.
4. New low season ticket.

Sometimes you just have to fall to bottom in order to start afresh. Yes relelgation is painful, but better that than no club at all. JR has kept this club afloat more or less single handed, and had very little support of late from the fans. All his hard work will now begin to pay off. We now both directors and manager all 100% city fans, and it feels just fantastic.

Whio knows we might have to stay down here while we build a team, but at least we will know that our club is in safe hands and not open to the fly by nights who only wanted to make a buck out of us.

Rhodes should still go. He's proven over the last Five years he's not capable of running a football club. I welcome Lawn's involvemeny because he's ensured we will have a football club for the forseeable. Now if Junior will just get back on Daddy's knee and let Lawn and McCall do their stuff, then we may get back to level we were before Junior fucked it up.

The day Rhodes leaves this football club, will still be a great day for Bradford City's future. If he deserves legendary status for finally accepting help, then so be it. But I won't get carried away about our chances of getting back to the higher echelons of the Football Pyramid until Rhodes is robbed of any decision making power at VP.

I am now going to send off for my season ticket and lump a few quid on City getting promoted next season. Mark lawn and Stuart McCall have given me grounds to be optimistic enough to do this, nobody else.

Like I say. I am in Love with Bradford City again big time. For that I give Mark Lawn and Stuart McCall my Thanks. As for Julian Rhodes, he will never have anything other than my contempt for making this football club a national laughing stock, contempt he has earned, with interest. Fingers crossed he will sink into his figurehead role as joint Chairman and will not be heard of again.
