Todd slams his 'worst ever' managerial performance (behind Blackpool twice)

Gillingham 1-0 Bradford City
Bradford manager Colonic Turd launched a scathing attack on himself after their 1-0 defeat in Kent.
Todd said: "That was the worst managerial performance that I have ever been involved in.

I was embarrassed by my tactics and my decisions and I feel sorry for our fans for having to see that because they came down to Kent in numbers to support us.

"I tried something in the first half and it didn't work and then i changed it after the break and opened my eyes, but it was even worse."

Gillingham scored the winner in the 45nd-minute.

What I saw out there bitterly disappointed me,but i could have done better if i had made the right substitutions.I took our best player off which in hindsight wasnt the correct move and i moved a midfielder into attack and put a striker on in midfield.I was hoping we could keep it at 1-0 which i thought was a good result on paper with ten men.We never looked like scoring but i thought we might knick a goal, but the stewards spotted us trying to put the goals on the coach after the game."

Bradford managed only one shot on target in the entire game - a MBW effort.

"I will now not see these players for about 2 days so there is no point in not saying how I feel. I have never been one for avoiding the issue," Todd added.

"What I saw out there bitterly disappointed me. I could have done better and so could many of the players.

"We were missing a lot of our first choice but that is not an excuse. It goes with the territory of being Bradford boss.

He said: "What you saw out there stops with me. I'm the man who is supposed to make it better but I couldn't today.

"I know I can do better than what we saw and some of the lads can see this as well."

"The 1-0 result flattered us. If it had not been for our keeper Ricketts, we could have been on the wrong end of an even worse defeat, but it was his fault for the goal, because he should have come out and collected it.Although the buck stops at me it was all Ricketts fault we lost".

"I cannot be too pleased with some of my decisions and I am going to have to work a lot harder and better that, with a draw and clean sheet against Crewe next week and hopefully grind out a draw at home to the fast improving Brentford the week after. Two good results like that at home and we will have turned the corner."
