....anyone getting worried?

On yesterdays showing it looks like Turds done well again bringing in Paynter & Dyer....Just what we needed to play alongside Deano really, shame they're here now he's at Hull:confused:

Youga looked an accomplished player IMO, only let down by his ball watching at times, luckily his pace gets him out of the shit at times;)...but didn't we really need a right back to cover Doyles departure?

Daley looks a better all round player than JJ, more Jamie Lawrence than Johnson, but we need more fighting types at the moment....TBH i couldn't see all the fuss about JJ in the first place....yes he had his moments but they were few and too far between IMO...think we got a good deal with the Wendies;)

So back on topic, I think we have enough to finish mid table-ish again, though our position may get worse before it gets better!

Its not just that we are 5 points from a relegation place but almost every team below us has a game in hand. Some of them are going to win that game.

Well the next 3 games are going to be vital. We have no chance of reaching the play offs but we need to get 6 points from the next 3. They are all winnable games so anything less than 6 and we are in deep poop.
We have all these guys in on loan for this month so if we can somehow win all 3 then we'll be relatively safe from relegation and should send everyone off back home, save the cash and start blooding our own players for next season.
If we have a bad month then we are going to have to hold on to all the loan players in order to try and battle for survival.

Either way it will have been a crap season and Todd has to go at the end of it.

Sorry Dutch - but in yesterdays interviews he told us he was going to be busy searching for new players in the close season - for City.

We aint getting relegated, we'll stay up, easy. I wouldn't put it past us finishing in exactly the same place as the past 2 years either

Todd is going nowhere. Even if we don't get another point for the rest of the season he can just point at the transfer window and quite accurately say that his job has been made 10 times more difficult. The Windass, Johnson and Doyle deals have made him untouchable.

Not untouchable should the new owners be in place for the end of May - I think we'll stay up but it will be a fight for the points now and i hope we can keep these new loan players beyond the initial month agreed.

I'd rather see Todd moved upstairs as director football development - he does have contacts within the game and would be ideal for such a role.

Leaving room for a new team manager to be appointed.

And just ask yourself why we lost these players in the transfer window???....If we were in the top six or thereabouts, then just maybe we'd have kept hold of these players instead of writing the season off in January ffstdwn:

So IMO, Turd brought the departure of the teams best players on himself, if he'd have handled them right then maybe they would have produced the early season form that showed what the team WERE & ARE capable off.....much better than mid to lower half of the table judging by the displays at the start of this season!:(

Quality ...Took it's time to come i must admit....Were you the chosen one to part that piece of TT doom and gloomer/Todd out drivel...

You sure did draw the short straw........

Weren't Charlton top till nearly December the season they went down???Villa under Gregory did a simillar thing, Cardiff also had a blinding start this season too...

The season evens itself out in true fashion come the end.....We are what we are a mid table side...There are plenty others in the same bracket this year it isnt our lucky turn to win enough to get top six....tup:

Your right T:rolleyes: ....I mean why do clubs hire managers in the first place?....why pay the likes of Ferguson, Mourinhio or Wenger good money when they dont earn it? ...We might as well let the directors sign the players that they can get in the summer, let the players sort out the team selection/tactics ect... & just HOPE we can finish in the top six or if were even luckier maybe the top two?tup:

I hope Bristol City, Scunthorpe, Oldham, Yeovil & Tranmere fans dont think their teams managers have ANYTHING to do with them riding high in the table this season eh?.....Dont tell them they just got LUCKY eh?;)

Out of those only Scunny are a surprise to me....Tranmere and Bristol are stalwarts of this league and always or nearly always do well....

Oldham have a very decent squad and were a tip pre season....

Yeovil though are a side that gets better every season

How many times do you want me to writ ethis before it sinks in ..Todd will every season no matter what give us Mid table football ... How hard is that to digest ffs....In a lucky season as others in this league get from time to time he may and this is jst a may get us a squad that goes on and stays on a run long enough to get us in the play offs at least...

Is this too hard for you...If so ask a grown up to read and explain mate...

Oh....nice put down, you've got me all shy and coy now, is an adult about to help me read???;)

Maybe you should get a grown up to read MY posts for you so you know that i haven't said we'd get relegated on this thread?....Or are you making things up just for arguments sake?

If your happy with a League One mid-table finish every season then fair enough, but most people at the club were expecting IMPROVEMENT this season, hence why JR allowed Turd to sign his original targets in the summer despite your saviour PE not having a penny in his pocket!

Thats why JR as panicked so early, writing our season off in January because he's trying to recoup the money he gambled on in the first place, giving Turd the same wage budget despite the PE fiasco!

So, forgive me if i aint doing cartwheels at yet another disappointing mid table finishtdwn:

So which part of he will give us mid table finishes DO YOU bot understand then????

Unless we get the freak run that others have we will never do anything else...

Now you can wish all you want but you will not get it....

Ask Jimbo how Rotherham are doing...He was so full of praise to their manager ...Where are they now???? Now that they have settled back to their real form????

Come the end of the season they will be so far adrift it will be unreal...Yet a month or so ago he was the dogs nuts.....Same team ???? Strange eh...

Saying that the team we have now although not ours is very good and i would expect us to hit some form in the next couple of weeks....

I dont get your argument T:confused: ...I've said i think we'll be safe from relegation all through this thread, so what you arguing about?....Only difference is you seem happy with that where i was expecting IMPROVEMENT this season:(

To be fair about the Rotherham situation though, they have had to sell their best players since they came to VP & i doubt they will be the same side that us earlier in the season.....a bit like us eh?

How can anyone think that the transfer window dealings are a valid excuse for Todd not to get booted?

In came Daley, Painter, Logan, Hibbert, Dyer and Youga. With an extension to Parker and an original extension to Doyle which had our form been any good in (and before) January then might have stayed the distance.
Out went Graham, Windass, JJ, Holmes and Doyle.

If Todd's loans panned out as he was expecting then: Our strike force is stronger than it has been all season. Our midfield is the same. Our defence is the same.

So if Todd fails to deliver anything better than what we have seen so far this season then he has every right to be booted out.

I do agree with whoever suggested he be moved upstairs end of season, that would be a good compromise.

Yeah i may as well at worst break even eh..

Crouch vs Heskey is closer than i expected with Emile putting in a real fight and playing less games too lol..
But i reckon i will lose that £50...

Lamps will trounce barring injury Gerard so i reckon that is a safe £20..

Rotherham barring a Todd sacking have already little chance of finishing higher than City so that is a safe £50..

Meaning i would be £20 quid up so go on Beer...I cyber shake on it fella....Game on...16th or above i win....17th or below you wintup: £20 Quid...
