Crock of sheeite. Booked a table for 9 o'clock and got there for 8.45. On arrival we were confronted by 86 people waiting for a table, some of whom had been waiting since 8.15. 15 quid for three drinks and when questioned the lass behind the bar said, 'this is the way it is. If you see someone walking past ask them what's going on'. I did. The owner said, 'I'll get back to you in a minute.' He didn't. Fifteen minutes later I'd had enough. I collared the owner and asked him why his restaurant was so popular when the punters are treated like shite. He told me not to swear. I called him a, 'thieving, ignorant wop f**k', 'c***ing w****r', and other choice names before me and the missus left and went for a drink in the Ring'O'Bells.
As a last resort I gave old favourite Villa Fiore Keighley a call. Fourty minutes later me and Rlass were tucking into Pollo Milanese, Pollo la creme and assorted veg. £18.70 it was. I just wish I'd gone straight there and avoided the over-hyped, over-priced, bag'o'wank that is Da Toninos.

Sorry to hear that about Dat's Loyal !
I only live round the corner and go regularly - sometimes just two of us sometimes a dozen or more and we have never ever had a problem!
There are always people waiting though and yes drinks can be a little pricey !
I will definitely be having a word with Tony when I see him !

Da Tonino's is in Shipley? I always classed anything further than Scarborough Road as Saltaire :(
Used to walk past that place all the time, looked pretty swanky with the mercs and beamers parked outside, bit small though

The boundaries are a bit iffy. I don't know where Shipley finishes and Saltaire begins but Bosa Nove is damn nice!!!!

Just noticed this thread. Went with the girlfriend and some mates a while ago to Da Toninos. It was cheaper for a beer than a coke but as I had the car I was on the pop. £3.60 for a glass of coke and it was that cheap stuff that tastes like Tesco's own. Food was ok, nothing special though.
Has anyone been to that Italian restaurant on Halifax Road near the Barley Mow and is it any good?

Villagios. Yes been, but only once. Nice and tidy, food was pretty good although a little overdressed, fancy disches and a bit nouveau cuisine if you get my drift. Decent grub though and reasonable prices. it is usually busy during the week as they do offers.

Cheers. Just on the road from me so might pop in one evening. They seem to do offers most weeknights. I'm not into nouveau cuisine, i just want pizza and chips. The girlfriend can eat all that pasta stuff.

You'll be ok then, the offers seem to be on pizzas most of the time!
