Well, it happened, the team tonight got a tonking by 9-0, the first time they've failed to score. By a combination of poor communication, poor play and bad luck in hitting the woodwork 6 times, they suffered just about their worst defeat yet.
Nevertheless a great personal performance by JPH was a positive to come out of it all. He was rightly voted MOM by both players & speccies alike.
Back to square one next week in search of the first 3 points of the new season.

I'll add my thoughts if I may.....
I didn't think we played THAT badly tonight despite the scoreline daft as it sounds! It really was "one of them nights". I must have had 3 or 4 shots saved by the keeper and another couple that hit the woodwork. The same goes for Ed as I recall. I'm not saying we deserved to win, far from it but it was nowhere near our worst performance and 9-0 is an insult to be honest!
On another night we'd have scored loads and had they not got the luck they might have missed a few. I'm sure we had as many or at least a similar amount of shots to them. Anyway, this week is gone and I'm glad! We can't have such bad luck again!
Just another vote for JP too. Great game tonight, never stoped running. Lost count of the amount of interceptions, blocks and last ditch tackles.
The only way is up!

A goal blitz got FC Rawdons season back on track after their disappointing midweek result last week.
The visitors totally outclassed their hosts in a one-sided game that was effectively over as a contest well after the ref started the game.
Rawden started much the better side and their enterprising play left C&B chasing shadows.
Rawdons wideman tormented C&B'S makeshift defence, the young lad put across a series of testing crosses.
It seemed only a matter of time before Rawden would take the lead and they did largely thanks to a blunder by C&B stopper Matt Barnes.
The impressive forward was allowed time to fire a shot goalwards and Barnes seemed to have it covered but split the shot and Paul Warne was on hand to tap in.
C&B barely had time to recover before they found themselves two down.
Again their wyly old striker was the architect sliding through a superb ball to his strike partner who finished neatly.
Jonnyd came close with a free-kick for the C&B's but that was as near to Rawdons goal as they got before the boos began to ring around the stadium. It was obvious that the team lacked the cutting edge of SI and his other transfered star The Mighty Boosh.
But things got even worse for the home fans as another goal made it three on the half-hour mark.
Again C&B's defending was shambolic as they allowed some old guy to get to the byline. He cut the ball back and it was cooly sided-footed in.
C&B boss Jonnyd made some changes just before half-time, hauling off the dead wood in attempt to breathe some life into his beleaguered side.
C&B did briefly threaten an unlikely comeback when remarkably they had two shots on target.
That was as good as it got for C&B who, despite enjoying some possession, barely threatened the Rawdon goal.
And it was the visitors who put the gloss on their victory when shot after shot flew past the C&B keeper Barnes. Fans were heard to be shouting for the youngster "Adie" who suprisingly was left out yet again.
The fans left extremely upset and bewildered how once again a side with so much promise failed to impress. The manager is now under pressure to get results and play the youth that is hammering on the door to get in.
How long the fans keep turning up after a dismal display like todays is anyones guess.
To make things worse in a later interview both the manager Jonny d and veteren keeper Matt Barnes were quoted as saying "if the fans got off our backs and give us a chance we might perform better. Our fans have always been like that and it gets on your nerves when they do not give you a break"
This is tony d for C&B news...jump:
Goodnight
I concur with Johnyd on the goals side, if one of our many shots had gone in early doors it would have been different.jump:
They were a poor team, not as poor as they used to be, but not a team that should have beaten us.tdwn:
I think trying to bring in new players has undoubtably taken its effect on the team at the moment, but i'm sure we can get better:rolleyes:
A different substitution policy may work to our advantage next week, all in JS hands!:D
Anyways, see you all next week, or saturday in Bantams bar!
PS well done to the traitors, i wonder if they'll start a new team again next year so they can play in the easy league!:p

Cheers JPH. The standard of the oppostion in Division 3 is poo. The other team were still in the bar at kick off time. ref had to go get em.
With regards to your game, from the bit that i saw, they were hardly pissing on you as the score might reflect and if a few shots had have gone in, who knows.
unlucky anyway lads, i'm sure you'll get a result next week.
