Situated at 3 locations in Leeds, Rodley, Chapel Allerton and Headingly I'm referring to the Chapel Allerton restaurant. Having not been to the Rodley or Headingly restaurants I possibly can't comment however I don't imagine that there is too greater difference. Indeed the Headingly restaurant won the Yorkshire Evening Post Restaurant of the Year 2006 and only opened in 2006.
Food
For a start it's a change from the usual mass of Italian restaurants that seem to litter our cities. Typically Greek and varied in choice the menu is excellent, I’d also recommend taking a look at the specials board as I've had a fantastic sea bass from there. Have a look at the menu at http://www.olivetreegreekrestaurant.co.uk/mambo/index.php?option=com_content&task=category§ionid=7&id=22&Itemid=36 the portions are just right to satisfy and don't leave you wanting more, of course everyone's different in that respect.
Service
Very friendly, family type service which i find to be much better in smaller restaurants like these.
Prices
Just a step down from city centre prices, a main will cost around £10-£15 which again I consider reasonable given the area. Remember Headingly and chapel Allerton are considered quite trendy places to eat so expectations remain high in these areas and the prices tend to reflect that.
Wine ranges from around £10 to £20, even with a good range of wine there's not a great deal of difference between the price of each bottle.
Ambiance
Due to the size of the restaurant it's I think it’s easier to obtain a good atmosphere and this is where the restaurant excels. Clean and smart but not overly finished like some the high end finishes you see in the city centre, it's a restaurant that you feel you can have a good time in as well as a good meal. However if busy it sometimes feels like you're a bit cramped but this is easily overlooked once seated.
Overall
A great little restaurant for that meal that you haven't really planned on a Tuesday night, with real charm.
