We lost 11-5 i think it finished.

Weren't that much of a thrashing tho - and we lost to the team which will win the division...

As usual we competed for 3/4's of the game then let a few in at the end!!

Loads of positives IMO - Paul is a right player and a worthy replacement for Si, we have another usefull player in his brother Dave - both of em are coppers too so if it gets nasty the oppo could be spending the night in the bridewell....:D
Paul - Parader came down to watch too and is joining the squad - IMO were gonna have a stronger squad than last season and i fully expect us to finish higher!!

I hope you're right. We have two easily beatable teams in the league this year: Allerton (shockingly bad- watched their game tonight)
Also whoever they were playing- nothing special.
We should be contendors in all the games, and i'm hoping for a result against 'BD2- Let's have a Do"- Nope, i didn't make that up.

I mentioned what I believe one of our problems was in the car to Jante, I don't think we use our subs as wisely as other teams who are constantly rolling players and staying full of energy, We don't normally sub until someone is about to keel over.

If we start rolling the subs and keeping fresh that would give us more in the last 1/4 of the game.

Other teams on pitches around us and those we played tonight were rolling every 3 or 4 minutes and it wasn't one player at a time they were swapping 3 at a time and were pretty fresh because of it.

Good point. I've been watching rawden, and they are constantly changing, and as a result, often have more stamina than teams they are playing.
Also, they have this fella with a hat at the back, and he acts as a team captain. He makes sure they always have cover at the back, and makes sure everyone does their job. This could work for us- give us that little bit more organisation, and we could easily do well.

1st thing we said in the bar too Ed - other teams who have beaten us have rotated the subs much wiser.....we need to sort it out, were competing for 3/4's of a match then loosing it when everyone is blowing out of their arse!!

One of there players mentioned it as well that they found it useful and learnt from when they were 6-0 up against windhill and ended up loosing 7-6 because they were knackered.

Allerton FC lost 18-2 to a team called Drop Me FC but we should be able to beat both teams. I reckon Ring o Bells will run away with the league and C&B FC, Rawdon & the Marsh are pretty similar

Spoke to some of the Allerton players and they were put in the top league last season without grading. They were beaten every week but everyone still turned up. The see it as just a laugh which is fair enough and seemed up to the new season starting!
