Tycoon ponders Halifax takeover
Businessman Marc Rushton is considering a takeover bid for Halifax Town.
Rushton sold the Telewest and Regus group he set up for £1.5billion, and recently saw a bid to buy Batley Bulldogs Rugby League club collapse.

He told the Halifax Courier: "It's too early to be specific, but I've had meetings with chairman Geoff Ralph and will be at the match on Saturday.

"Everyone knows I'm on the look out for something local and on the face of it, there could be something there." jawdrop:

I suppose, as with this guy, it depends were the investor comes from, to were he wants to invest his money

I for one, would not invest in Turdersfield or Scum and would gladly see struggle as they are.

What we we need is a wealthy local business man to invest his money in a local struggling team, possible one who has built up a nation wide empire of stores, money to burn, ready to retire and needs something to keep him occupied in his spare time
