I couldn't name a single tune 2 of those 3 bands sing....the other band i think are OK and I like many of their songs but they grow slightly tiresome quickly tup: As for Morrisey, fpmsl, 'I wish you an unhappy birthday' roflmao: and '... bludgeoned in your bed' roflmao:

Morrissey and the Smiths were/are class - Mozza's last two albums (Tormentors and Quarry) have been right up there with Bona Drag (his last great album post Smiths) - seen him twice Tone, the first was at St George's hall and one of the best gigs i've ever been to - a few moons ago now tho - bet it was 92/93 or sommat - he oozes charisma on stage and truly does own it, i don't think i've seen a more acomplished and confident performer since the late great Freddie departed this world!!...
Have you tried to get tickets yet? I'd be surprised if there's still some available - tickets for UK gigs are like rocking horse shit at the best of times - but in his hometown....

Morrissey doesn't command the crowds of yesteryear anymore, he played Halifax a little while back and it wsn't filled.
Back in the eighties I was bang into the Smiths sound, Morrissey was a lyrical, genius on thier first album, he wrote as you'd have a conversation to somebody.
And the Johnny Marr riffs just wonderful, their later albums (though very good) I found a little indulgent.

That last tour he sold out in minutes Yenster, including Halifax. The tickets were like Rocking horse shit and I managed to make a few quid on em being the toutscum that I am. Tickets for his show at the Lowry were changeing hands at 6-700 quid a pair. He's not shifting them this time because it's under six months since his last tour and he's playing bigger venues.
