Another game slips by -- do we blame Windy, Toddy, the players -- or just wait for the next game?

We'd have stuffed Bournemouth today, had the resident idiot (no the other one) not got him self needlessly sent off. The ref had no choice.
Todds decisions were odd. I had suggested putting JJ up front to our lass, but when he went there it didn't work and we looked even less of a threat. JJ was our main threat and putting him up from#nt just meant that he received less ball. Todd persisited with it instead of reverting back and then took him off, to bring Colbeck on. I'm a big fan of Joes, but he's had virtually no impact at all this season and must have touched the ball twice.

Windass is to blame for today only....
He got sent off in a game which pulled in over 10,000 apparently....
Now if the lads had put on a show then the crowd would of got behind em and probably returned the following week...
All this did today due to Windass's actions iss further alienate stayaway fans and pile on more pressure on the team...
Saying that a change looks very likely and Peter Jackson could be in the hotseat sooner than i expected....
You know it is going to be him nowDeano always seems to fook up when something is on the line...

Dean Windass at fault but we looked poor even in the first 12 minutes. Bournemouth were shite but we never tried. The Todd out call came hard and long from the Kop and applauded by ciba stand, well me anyway. Poor game and bluddy cold.

Latest rumour in West Yorks is that Huddersfield are interviewing potential managers and Jacko has found out so big bust up. Well thats what I have heard anyway.

Quite ironic the palyer CT has put so much faith in could cost him his job!
a loss aginst Milwall - Graham cup tied, Windass banned and EJ injured leaves us a little light weight up front (why sign black - unfit and put on the bench - should have brought in a target man.) he may have to play Black as front man!
Followed by no points in the two London fixtures - though I would rather see EJ and Graham form a good partnership and earn us some points - and keep Windass on the bench until Graham returns to the Wendies in Jan.

Windass to blame 100%, that tackle was an absolute disgrace & i hope Todd has the balls to fine him heavily. After his dimissal we were always going to be on the back foot & the 10 men worked hard. Really it was a poor game by 2 poor teams bereft of confidence.
Decent performances from Ricketts , Doyle, Ainge & Healy for 75 minutes.
I actually felt sorry for Graham today, he worked hard but got no service whatever.

can someone enlighten me on what happerend with the windass thing....from where i was sat it lookd like a fooking dangerous 2 footed lunge by their player and thought we had a penalty????
Anyway we were shit, todd needs to go - he persisted in playing 1 player up front all the first half - a shit player - when considering they have the worst defense in our league
And then to bring on Parker and JoCo......??? he's a reet old cretin
Too easy to blame windass on this one i feel

JJ was fouled and the ball ran loose to a Bournemouth player & Windass launched himself 2 footed from about a yard away. Straight away, i said to my lad he's off.
You can't even blame it on frustration with only 15 minutes gone, the bloke gets more stupid as he gets older. He thinks he's untouchable at City but he should be hammered by Todd for that tackle & to his credit on the radio he said it was an absolute shocker.
The service from midfield to the forwards today was woeful & the only way we were going to score was by JJ running at them. MBW was well off form & although Schuey worked hard he produced nothing. JJ was his usual enigmatic self & when he moved upfront, why did we persist in lumping the ball up to him at head height.

Hi all, longtime lurker popping his head above the parapet to say that I was enticed to VP today by having a lull in my MA studies and the £5 tickets. So my take on the match may well be not as damning cos I've not been regularly.
I thought for the first quarter of an hour things looked very promising indeed. We had shape, we had movement, we had attacking thrust. Then of course both players went in twofooted but whilst the Bournemouth player did get the ball, Deano in his hurdling looked like he stamped. The muppet.
And then began our rearguard action. And some players battled but Bournemouth flattered our ten men. It's not hard to see why they've got problems on the basis of their performance today!
Some players were anonymous but not, imo, woeful whilst others were made conspicuous by their performances. Top of my hit list would have been Colin Healy - trying deft touches that never came off, badly weighted passes, having no awareness of those around him, always looking to go backwards, misdirected passes. Sure he got some tackles in, but what good is winning ball if you waste the resultant possession? (Talking of which, does the Don get coached in distribution? Have the boys not twigged that whenever we play the ball in the air we don't get possession but if we built forwards along the ground we might get somewhere.)
As the first half progressed I couldn't see him coming out for the second half. Nor for that matter did I think that CT would keep Ainge on. Clearly the lad has got a bit about him but I think there were a few times today where his unavoidable inexperience showed through and in a 10 man setting perhaps actually making changes might have been better than CT's apparent head-burying.
Obviously we're all armchair managers so I've my opinions on what I would have done had I been CT. I'd have gone 3-4-2.
Bower, Wethers Doyle.
Colbeck Schuie MBW and Tommy Black (because presumably CT brought him for something?) or Parker.
Up front put Graham and JJ.
Alternatively brought JoeBo on and kept JJ on the wing, although I'm unconvinced by how effective Mr Brown would have been. And that would probably have been a change I'd have kept up my sleeve for the last 15 minutes to go after 3 points. I'd rather we looked like we wanted to win and lost than played for 1 point meekly.
So I'd have subbed Healy cos he was terrible and Ainge, simply cos in the circumstance we needed sharpness and he didn't look completely on the ball.
By having 4 in the middle we'd have had some width. Which if they'd exploited our lack of (as they did for the last 15 minutes) we'd blatantly have lost.
At the end I disagreed with the booing. I thought given the hand Deano dealt the lads they deserved appreciation and it was good to join with some other people in clapping them off. Perversely coming over today made me regret not being able to do it more often - to stand with the players as we get over this slump.
Underpinning all of this obviously is the fact that CT hasn't a clue.
Also, I could not believe how quiet 10000 people can be. Granted we didn't have much to cheer but isn't our job to drive the players on? I dunno :) I did notice though that when chanting existed previously silent groupings got involved, perhaps a great number of people are just sat in their seats desperate for atmosphere but too scared to make the first move and so rather than spontaneous atmosphere we get shy silence. Just a thought.
So that's my rather long tuppence' worth.

And a damm good two-peneth it is -- thanks for the review of the game -- and another point of view -- Cheers tup:
Now that youve started -- why not continue the postings :)
Did anyone notice, especially in the first half the number of times attacks were successful down the left side of the pitch by Bournemouth. The fantastic save by Ricketts, the cross knocked onto the post then across the face of goal. Is this a coincidence that Bournemouth were so successfull down that side of the pitch because Bower isn't a left back. Isn't it also stupid to see a left back come on for a midfielder.
On another day a team better than Bournemouth would of punished us for such stupid managerial desisions.

Nice to see you wellers. Now you've tried the water, why not make it a more regular occurence?
Shows that £5 tickets can have an effect.
