The Sun & Express this morning both report Nottingham Forest lining up a £500,000 bid for Dean Windass in the January window with them wanting to sell Grant Holt to finance the deal.

Anyone else with his strike rate at any level would be worth at least twice that!! Besides, the buy-out clause in his contract is £500k!

He wont go anyway - Deano wants to be playing week-in/week-out, at Forest thats not guaranteed!!

If ---- if the offer is 500k, then its a lot for a striker of his age who is also not scoreing goals -- also a few reports lately by fans say that he is not on form!

This season is another wash out for a player like windass, sometimes looks like he cant be arsed on the pitch but knows how to hit the net

It aint a big deal playing till your 40 if you look after yourself nowadays - therefore he's got another 3 seasons in him - at 20 goals a season at this level 500k is good value for money IMO - he's only just signed another new contract aswell - hence the valuation!!
It won't happen tho......although 300 grand and a player swap with Grant Holt and i'd bite their hand off!!...
