View Full Version : Curbing my enthusiasm...

... that's what the current team and management down at Valley parade is doing to me this season...
...on Saturday I'm missing my fourth home game this season because of an early Christmas family get-together in Cumbria... and do you know what??..
I DON'T CARE!!!
After 40 years of highs and lows... ups and downs... euphoria to despair... I have lost my enthusiasm.
Until either Todd works a miracle or he is replaced I'm making City secondary in my social life.:(

I think he's doing an average to middling job considering all the factors involved, and there is no guarantee that any replacement would do better.
And it's totally irrelevant, because he's here for the next couple of years regardless.

I hate the fact that we've had a revolving door policy at City recently.
I think Toddy has become stale, run out of ideas, lost some of the dressing room with his criticism, created disillusionment amongst loyal fans and shown a lack of foresight where young players are concerned.
Is that enough!

Yes i'm a idiot, Because i've got an opinion different to yours. He could do much better, then he could be doing a hell of a lot worse.
So .. yes i'm an idiot because I don't follow the herd and make my own opinions.
I can't / couldn't see anyone else do much better with whats on offer, and let's face it - nobody wants to touch city with a barge pole and tbh I don't blame them, you've only got to look at how the fans boo'ed Black because he wasn't playing well. Same happened last year with Armstrong, people choose other places to play because of stuff like that, same with managers, it's a thankless job.
And if you paid attention to what is written on here rather than half read, you'll know i'm not impressed with Todd.
Idiot.

I've enjoyed this season more than the last few simply because I get a better view at the top table. It's better watching the bubbles in my pint than it is the football on the pitch at the mo. We could just do with a bit of eye-candy behind the bar. I wonder if EMC can arrange that for us.

I think Todd can easily be blamed for Citys slump. Yes the squad is small, but the football we playe a the beginning of the season was scintilating. We looked a division better than the teams we'd played. Its The other way around now.
If we had been ravaged by suspensions and injuries then these would be mitigating circumstances, but we haven't.
We've gone from a team always pushing forward, good passing and movement off the ball to a team that can't string two pases together and stands there almost static waiting for the ball to arrive at their feet.
Whilst the booing doesn't help and the players and captain must take some responsibilty, I feel that Todd is ultimately to blame for the players seeming lack of self confidence.
I've not seen Black play, but understand that he's very unfit. Surely a manager is responsible for ensuring a player he is bringing in on a one month loan is somewhere near match fit?
I agree with BB in that Todd is here for the duration, as we can't afford to pay him off. It will be a crying shame if this means that we miss out on Stu and Beags. Whilst they will probably ultimately fail (most managers do) they will put bums on seasts and instill fire and confidence in to the team.
Fans should get behind they players whilst laying into the manager if they choose.
This is my personal opinion, which I have formulated all by my little self. tup: :D
I'll still be going on Saturday. But last season, foir the first time in 20 years as an ST holder I chose not to go. I'm getting close to that stage again. So I'll still be in the Midland Rd, unless someone fancies a game of golf?

I've also been Todderised and only attend matches now to seek out familar faces, have a pint and a chinwag - a ferkin good rant when it goes belly up out there on the pitch and then ferk off home wondering about my sanity.
I now have a picture of a lost looking Ernie wondering around the White Rose Centre - people keeping well clear of this man with a manic stare, clutching a bottle of Coke and followed by security guards :-)

its the under breath mutterings and the drooling at shiney things in the windows that scares them Mark.
