From the last few league games there are 3 major problems with our team and if sorted we should get back on track....

1. Left Back - Mark Bower is a CENTRE BACK not a left back, when Parker is back then Parker should come in at left back and Ainge should be moved to the bench! Ainge has done really well but our strongest defensive line is Doyle----Wethers-----Bower-----Parker!

2. Long Ball - IT DOESN'T WORK! Why pump the ball straight upto EJ time and time again? If we're going to use that tactic we need a target man! We don't have a target man so we need to keep the ball on the floor and pass to feet!

3. Strikers - More difficult to solve! Our strikers simply aren't good enough, Windass is very close to being passed it, EJ just cant seem to get any luck and Graham is poor! We need a decent striker or need our current strikers to find abit of form again!

COME ON TODD! Sort it Out!

2. Answers 3. We are knocking it long which is a managers call, end of. With no tall centre forward it comes straight back even the best strikers would struggle with that service. Width is the answer, full backs going on the over lap when wingers doubled up on is also a good tactic. I believe Todd has banned the full backs moving forward, he is so defensively minded its unbelievable. He'd settle for a draw every game even tho' that means relegation. Then he can say "if those 46 draws had been wins we would be promoted" remember he has used this excuse before. TO:

Target man - requiring one has been discussed to death - many on here and other message boards - before the season kicked off - yet on losing "evil" we sign Graham?. The thing what we don not know is if CT has tried to sort this out - but why is an unfit midfielder brought in - Colbeck would have had more impact than Black and saved us some money.

What you fail to point out is the lack of a quality central midfielder - with a a good footballing brain, a leader can get from box to box and link up with the strikers, protect the defenders ala Wallwork The ones we have at the moment cannot do both well consistently - unless Healy progresses - but by then he will be on his way back to Barnsley. Doyle was brought in - but we he has not featured there. Get the engine room of the team firing on all cylinders - then the team will stop leaking goals and also start finding the back of the net.
