This is where we have to perform. The next 4 matches are against bottom of the table teams, and it's where we have to get our points from. Our last 4 matches have all been against teams from the top half of the table, and that's part of the reason why we've done nothing. There are 2 teams in any match, and how good your opposition is has as much impact as how good you are.

9 points out of the next 4 matches, and we are back in the top half of the table and the recent run of form will be a distant memory. 5 points will be sufficient to keep us floating round about where we are.

I don't think Todd is in imminent danger of sacking, but clearly he needs to start getting points on board, and the next 4 matches represent as good a chance as we will have in the near future.

We had a spell like this last season - the end of January and all of February saw us take just 4 points out of a possible 15. Immediately after that we went on to get 19 points out of our remaining 11 games, which was a complete turn around of form. We've been here before, and it's entirely possible to turn it around. But we need to do it now.

and if we continue with this poor form for these next 4 matches we will be in a relegation scrap. Personally I think if we have another loss and a poor display this Saturday Todd should go........ unfortunately I don't think Julian has the balls to do the deed.
Its only the 4 nil against a depleted Crewe side which released the pressure which was building up previously on CT.
I know CT is working on a extremely limited budget and has to scrape about for loan players and frees who will play for a minimum wage BUT its the same for lots of managers in the lower divisions. Sorry but the time for change is long overdue, Todd is stale and looks it as well and the team just aren't responding to him. The club needs a new manager, someone who can really rally the fans behind him and can stop this never ending downward spiral.

If the recent form continues against these teams do you think JR would have to act then?

So then, I don't think I got this too far wrong. 7 points out of the last 4 games. Good enough.

Our next 4 matches are against

Chesterfield 16th
Yeovil 7th
Doncaster 11th
Cheltenham 22nd

Slightly tougher opposition. I'm going to predict 5 points out of the next 4 matches, to leave us approximately where we are now in the table at 13th or thereabouts on 34 points.

And we are almost exactly on course for the 60 points I predicted us getting at the start of the season.

To avoid relegation, presuming the traditional bar of 50 points, we need just 7 more wins out of the remaining 24 games. It's not there till the points are won, but we are looking comfortable.

We will get at least two out of the next three i reckon...

In fact i do not think we will lose in the Yeovil, donny or cheltenham matches..

ffs BB this was posted at 8:08 PM today AFTER the Chesterfield game and you claim we will get at least 5 points when we have 3 already. What drugs you doing?

I could only see us picking up a point against Donny, bit of luck complete the double against Cheltenham - so my prediciton would be a further 4 from the next 3! Should leave us a fair bit above the dirty terriers - but hopefully not enough to keep Turd in his job!

Sorry, my mistake. Scrub the Chesterfield game from it and replace it with the match against Carlisle who are currently 12th.

I still see it as 5 points from the next 4 matches.

I think we'll win a couple, lose a couple, draw a couple all by playing safety first football all the way to mid table safety come May. I see much the same for next season and the season after and probably beyond.

Allus have been. I was having a laugh with King Billy over a few Beers the other week about the proper dumbos that have fallen for the Liverpool thing. Seems you're another to add to the list.....

The wins against Orient & Chesterfield count for knack all with regards Todd turning it around as they were both piss poor shite teams - much like we are at the mo! The following 4 games will see;

Yeovil - lose
Doncaster - draw
Cheltenham - draw
CARLISLE - lose

It will be enough for Rhodes to keep the ToddMiester!

So are you prepared to use that way of looking at it and accept that the losses prior to them count for knack all because they were against better teams?

That was the initial point of the thread - our results will vary dependent on the standard of the opposition.

We should be challenging with the very best in this league! Our early season form was no fluke - we had and still have the players to do some damage in this division. Only bad management will/has scuppered that!tdwn:

We are capable( under Todd) of performances which would make C&B 5-a-side team (feat Tony D) look good! We should be beating the shite of the league - which Orient are!!tdwn:

TBH Tony, I thought both sides were shite. City were a shade of the side I saw do so well in the first half against Brentford (the last time I saw them). Both teams struggled to find rhythm and I think Orient got the better of us enough times to win the game by a few goals.

Going by the sounds of the Chesterfield game aswell, it seems we're getting past teams by luck rather than playing attractive football like we were before.

But then again, you need that bit of luck to kick-start a season sometimes; so this could be a change in fortune for the mighty Bantams....or maybe not:rolleyes:
