Manchester United will reportedly offer John O'Shea, Alan Smith, and Wes Brown in exchange for long-term tarrget Owen Hargreaves.
The Bayern Munich midfielder has made no secret of his desire to move to Old Trafford and the Reds are expected to make a move for the England international in January.
The Germans have repeatedly stated they would not sell the England international but the Reds will use firnge players O'Shea and Brown in an attempt to sweeten the deal, according to the Daily Star.
Neither player has been able to hold down a first-team place this season and may see moving abraod as a chance to resurrect their careers. They are also giving Alan Smith away in the deal because he is shite. A Bayern spokesman said 'We dont need Smiffy - what team would?, at least we will have someone to laugh at!'
