Tommy Black used to be quality - not heard much about him recently but when we played em a few years ago at Selhurst he ripped us apart, he was a big part of their promotion winning team a few years ago too!!.....
At this level he could be brilliant!!...

Sounds good -- is he to replace Holmes if he goes in Jan or will he play on the wing with JJ in the center or...........
He likes to run at defenders -- so exciting times ahead methinks -- could Todd be getting it right?

All credit to Toddy, looks like another good signing, and could be just what we need to push us up the table, will be good to be able to throw sum1 like him on for the last half hour if we cant get a goal. With these two players that have come in and then Muirhead coming back we are gonna av a good bench for the first time this season, plenty of attacking players to put on.

Wonders will never cease! Perhaps his attention is elsewhere - Charlton perhaps seeing as Dowie's sacking means he'll get less from his lawsuit against him!:D

EAGLES WINGER SET TO JOIN BANTAMS
Bradford are set to sign Tommy Black after Palace granted permission to speak to the player.
Black has been unable to force his way into Peter Taylor's plans at Selhurst Park and turned down the chance to join Blackpoo at the start of the season.
The 26-year-old can play on either the left or right flank and would offset the expected absence of Lee Holmes. Palace have confirmed they expect the player to decide on a loan move to either Bradford or Brentford by the end of the week.
"He is a talented player who's just not been getting the games at Crystal Palace." Todd told the Bradford Telegraph and Argus. "But he is another one who can play in different positions across the midfield and will keep people on their toes.
"It is good to freshen up things by bringing in good players. Colin Healy did very well on Saturday and set his standards which he's now got to maintain and Tommy will also provide some quality.
"It's nice to have that competition for places and people know that they have to keep performing."

That is what I was thinking as well. Depending what site you read depends on the story you get.

Take Teletext for example. Doncaster have signed Wilson. According to Teletext he has been training with them for 8 weeks. Funny I thought he was with us at that time.

Ok Mall , i was just trying to find out when it came on the radio. After the McEvilly saga, i don't tend to trust the official site, local radio seems more accurate & quicker off the mark

Interesting that given the choice between us & Brentford, as a London lad he's chosen to come up here for a loan spell.

He will be down in London for two way games if picked during his spell with us - and this also give chances for Crystal Palace to send scouts to watch his performances - so hopefully he will be giving his all to get back in Taylor's plans and this will benefit our team to get positive results and bag some points.

I'm quite excited about signing Tommy Black. Thing is he's yet another winger using up yet another of our limited (8?) loan slots. Like Healey he's only here for an initial month.

What sort of side are we going to have come the new season, or possibly even january for that matter? Does anyone know if any of these player are likely to become permanent additions? My guess is that none will, unless someone hands us a wad of cash.

His spelling might be a bit dodgy. Signed the contact and thought he was going just down the road.
