Colbeck is pants though, 2 wingers for each position will make them realise there position in the team is not guaranteed as I think Lee Holmes has let his form dip a bit as he seems to think he can walk into the team without trying.

Holmes is a shadow of what he was like when he first arrived.Im not sure if its a confidence thing or Todd not letting him play his own game,but he has lost his form.

I do know where you are going and trying to put myself in that muddled place has made me come up with the idea -- holmes is young, fast and dangourous so with him and JJ needing to be looked after by defences it should leave some other players unmarked and in space

Holmes's form dipped when Ben Parker stopped getting far enough up the park to supply and support him.
Seems the half way line is far enough. The two of them seemed to be getting an understanding both in attack and defence, with Holmes often getting back to help. Unfortunately Todd's rigid two banks of four makes that difficult.

I agree, another wide midfielder isn't really needed, we have JJ, Colbeck, Muirhead, Holmes, MBW can also play there! We have enough midfielders now, especially with Healy now and Bentham back from injury!

We are in desperate need of another striker, Graham is useless, JoBo is crap, the only problem is is that are there any decent strikers available on loan?

On the team Vs Oldham point, I'd make one change...

Bower is poor at left back and although Ainge did well, I'd drop him, move Bower into the centre and haev Parker at left back, the rest of the team should stay the same!

On two occasions this season, Todd has pushed JJ right up front with Windass, on both occasions JJ has shone and his pace and movement alongside the wily old head of Windass has put the defenders right onto the back foot. I believe CT has this in mind as he tries to bring in another effective wideman.
Which shows that CT has also noticed as well as I have, that JJ has the potential to be a very effective striker. The type we have long hoped for, the sort we hoped Cada would be, Rankin would be,Grant would be, Brown could but won't be.

And if we get the right winger on loan, and JJ does the business up front, then striker problem is sorted. And its one less thing for the abusers to abuse about.
