5-0 up at half time, they wanted it so much more than us in the 2nd half and with the help of their dirty, gamesmanship tactics pulled 2 quick goals back - when Si scored our 6th (yes JPH - good pass :D) i thought we'd put it to bed at 6-2....only for us to fall apart and loose 7-6....What let us down was our attempts at timewasting, they knew psychologically they had us then and sniffed blood (nearly literally) - i had no chance against their toe-boned goals which swerved about 3 times before hitting the net :(
A set of dirty bastards who tried to kick off in the 1st half, don't know how Jonnyd didn't chin the cnut who asked him to "come on, punch me here - come on right here on the chin - come on then".....the last game of the season is against them......Fancy coming down Jimmy and Parrot.....;) tup:
Credit must go to Jonnyd for taking some punishment for the team and also Si (1911) who was kicked all over the pitch from the 1st minute but ended up scoring most of our goals - played lads....tup:
Chins up - we can beat anyone or at least match em on our day as weve proved - weve not had one shoeing this season which i think is very creditable when you consider weve only played together a handfull of times - we'll finish midtable this season - when the next season starts in January we'll be up there challenging.....tup:

It was an exciting match to watch. We played well in the first half and then the first part of the second half but then let it go. We didn't make space for KB to pass to and then didn't make enough runs. It got too defensive.
The other team really were given too many chances by the referee and some of their players were downright thugs!
Although we lost, lots of positivies can be and should be taken from the first half performance. I thought we played as a team and there was some excellent link-up play and Matt was fantastic in net tup: We scored some excellent goals and so did the other team.
The night was almost topped off by a pitch side brawl with one of their players and the C&B manager, JS!! Watch out Arsene Wenger!!!

7 games in, halfway through the season and I'd say only 1 team has been better than us or at least too good for us. The rest of them we can beat on any given night if we perform.
On tonight, we played well for the most part but that last 10 minutes we lost it. I have to give them some credit, they really were hungry for it in the last bit. Whenever KB had the ball there was nobody to pass to as they were marking us so tight and we ended up losing the ball and inviting pressure onto ourselves. We got into a mindset of defending the lead we had and I think I was the most guilty of that as often I was passing back to the keeper instead of trying to create something. It was timewasting stuff we were doing and it worked up to a point but in the end they had some shots and they went in so fair play to them, I have to say they did well to come back from alot of goals down.
They were physical, and probably a bit too much if you ask me but the ref let them get away with it early on so we knew what it would be like as the game progressed.
On a personal note, I'm a little dissapointed with my own performance again tonight so will try to do better next time around.
Anyway, that's another team we owe revenge on in the 2nd half of the season!
I was gutted after the match and when I got home, I wished I had a cat! :D

Jonny, I'm with you on this one. I didnt have the best performance either, and I hope to raise my game for next week.
So here it is..........Im sorry lads.
Roll on next week!
ARRRGGGGGGG:mad:
I couldn't sleep last night thinking about the game. What a set of c*nts (Rambo's mates! Peas in a pod:rolleyes:) But the referee was shocking.
I love to write complaint letters, it makes me feel superior! Had a go at goals today, but could only find there general enquiries page, so left this:
Referees:
I play in the Bradford Thursday league.
For the past two weeks we have had very poor referees. The most recent was a disgrace. He offered no protection to the players, and subsequently we were unable to enjoy our football.
If this is to happen again, our team will be withdrawn from the league.
A complaint was made at the time, but seemingly ignored.
I hope the standard of referees meets those of other 'Goals' Centres in the near future.
Sour grapes maybe, but you can't push someone in the face, and then asked to be punched, nor can you slide tackle someone who's about to score, and get away with it. Not even a sin bin!
As for the performance, we were good in the first half. Took our foot off the gas in the second half, but rightly so! All we needed was to sit back, and at 6-2 we should have had it. But people weren't marked, shots weren't closed down and it looked, including myself, we were blowing out of our arses!tdwn:
As for myself, felt like sh1t from the start, had no energy! Didn't have a great game, but haven't for a few weeks now, i think i may be nearing retirement;)
Wow, this is a long post! Got to g now, maturbation fridayjump:

Cant believe you dint win, unlucky lads, would have been brilliant for us if you had nicked a win against them, wud av left us 4 points clear.
The way you lot feel about them being dirty is exactly how we felt about you lot so wat goes around comes around.

We played Travellers Rest, beat them 8-6. Was a grudge match for us aswell, as we used to play against a lot of them when we were younger so they were kicking me all game, but I got my own back and scored 5 goals, revenge is sweet. Hope you guys can finish in top half, if you can get into a 5 goal lead against a top 3 side then you should be able to get into the top 4. Shouldnt use time wasting tactics tho, its too small a pitch to be doing that and the games can just change in an instant if you dont keep your rithum going. Who you got next week?

Menace, the Ring O'Bells were far dirtier than we were against you. Someone could have got seriously injured and had it been someone with less restraint that their lad was giving the come on to it could easily have kicked off big time. I dread to think what would have happened if we'd have had a few more watching from the side. Whoevber that lad was deserved a chinning.
