How low can this bloke get - El Hadji Diouf
Some of his antics on the pitch are a disgrace. There is no place in football for spitters, but this is a new low.tdwn:
"Police have arrested Bolton forward El Hadji Diouf for allegedly assaulting his wife.
The Senegal international was held by Greater Manchester Police following an altercation early on Sunday morning.
Diouf's wife Valerie is reported to have suffered a cut lip and police are investigating the incident.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman confirmed: "Police were called to an address in Bolton at 6.45am on November 5 following reports of an assault.
"Officers arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of committing assault.
"He has since been bailed pending further inquiries to appear at a police station."
The 25-year-old has been dogged by off-field controversy since he first moved to England with Liverpool in 2002 and has twice appeared in court after spitting incidents at Celtic and Middlesbrough."
