The C&B lads stormed to a 14-3 victory tonight over City Hall Centurions at a freezing cold Goals . Scorers were 1911 (Si) with 8, JonnyD with 2, JPH with 2 and The Mighty Boosh also with 2. Well done lads, great win watch by 4 loyal supporters TBB, Tatt, Edwin Fitzgerald & JS who voted Si their man of the match closely followed by Superfat with a sterling defensive displaytup:

I cant believe the fckuing Pie Man let 3 in:eek:
Mind you i was told he was juggling 5 Chicken Balti pies at the time and the goal mouth was awash with pastry crusts.Nowt new there then,as KB has been seen troughing pies at the TT and he leaves a right mess.
Is it true that the 2nd goal hit a divit of pastry crust in the penalty area and flew over KBs shoulder?roflmao:
Well done boys.clap:clap:clap:

He had a lapse of concentration when Tatt was singing 'Your shit & you know you are' at the top of his voice but apart from that he & the team played well!

Well played to all the lads tonight, a cracking performance! Special mentions to Si for the 8 goals of course and to Superfat who had his first start tonight and had a great game typified by unselfishly playing Si in for yet another goal towards the end when the goal was at his mercy. We were all hoping for a Superfat special celebration! We were about 10 goals up man, have a shot! Team man to the end!
Also praise for Matt....the score shows that we thrashed them and we did to be fair but it has to be said that the first five minutes were very tight. It was 0-0 for a long time until Si banged the first goal in and then we progressed from there. But in that first five minutes we started poorly again it has to be said and Matt kept the ball out of the net. Well done!
Overall, a great performance but let's bear in mind that start to the match. A better team would have scored 2, 3 or 4 goals in that five minutes it took us to get going and then we'd have been up against it again and we've been there before as we know! It's very hard to pull back a big deficit. Next week we need to be up for it from the off. I know Si, Gaz and Boosh will be as they are playing against their mates! Boosh said in the bar afterward we CANNOT lose next week, win at all costs!
I took a kick tonight on my calf on the left leg and it's aching like a bastard now. I'll remember his face for next time! Perhaps it's karma as I wasn't the cleanest player last week!
Another two goals for me tonight. A regulation tap in as is my norm and a decent goal when I beat a man then put it in the bottom corner. I said to JP at the start of the match when we were subs that we need to keep the ball low when shooting as the keeper was quite a big lad. I think that's 8 goals for me now but I doubt I have any chance of catching Si for the golden boot award after his 8 goal salvo tonight! Thank fuck he got subbed before he got a triple hatrick!
I thought the two subs worked really well tonight and I'd advocate sticking to this in the future. Two subs mean when you come off you can have a bit of a rest but your back on before you get tired of waiting! Three subs seems like a bit of a spare part! Sorry to anyone who wants to play but you'll have to break into the squad of seven now instead of eight!
As a side point I think that's our first win in the new kit. Well done all, it was worth it afterall!
Anyway, to wrap it up, well played everybody tonight. We all had great games and I'm including Matt of course. He didn't have much to do as we were quite dominant but he kept them out in the early stages and we built from there. Roll on next week!
Onwards and upwards! tup: jump:

Good write up JD.....tup: Saved me a job this morning....tup: tup:
If we'd have had a bit more composure and been more clinical - especially towards the end of the 1st half we could easily have had another 5/6/7 goals!!....We need to take those chances against decent teams - luckily the team we played last night had no chance of making us pay, but some of the "big boys" will!!...

Don't know if this link works for any of you not registered on the goals site - but its the league tables and results.....
Were currently 5th in the table, there's a bit of a gap of five points between us and the leading pack - a win next week against one of the leading pack is a must!!..

Solid team performance last night.
Even though we were shoeing them after ten minutes, we still kept our heads, played it about and we let the ball do the work.
TBH, I thought we were all gonna go for individual glory by being greedy, it shows the unselfishness of the way we played paid off.
I dont know what it looked like from the sidelines, but on the pitch it felt like we were playing attractive football too

Aye - have to agree about the unselfisheness - Booshie and Superfat to name too had great chances to score themselves but squared it for tap ins on a couple of occasions - great to see, good to see we didn't start showboating either and kept being professional to the final whistle!!....tup:

Agreed, the team looked like it was playing with confidence & it would have been easy to start showboating or glory hunting but it looked like a team that is coming together the more it plays. I agree with JD that the 2 subs worked better, i was a bit skeptical but it did work a lot better. Well done lads, another big performance needed next week

Grudge match next week for me personally.
A comparison with Hudders Vs Bradford wouldnt be far wrong.
A heavy training regime and a balance diet for me next week.
Come on the C & Bs!!!!

I reckon you would have doubled your tally with a couple of decent strikers.

Sombody on the Rawden soft team we play in two weeks thinks that we're their chance to hop up in the table. Personally i can't see it happening with performances like that. Good work last night lads.

Edwin, re Rawdon Soft, I watched the whole of their first half against Windhill. They were poor. Windhill admittedly played better than they did against us, they passed it through the Soft. I doubt they will be a match for us if we can maintain the form we showed on Thursday.
Regarding our game. First and foremost we played as a team, all 7 of us. After the first five minutes or so where it seemed we gave them more respect than they were due, we got organised, I sat deeper in a sweeper role and that allowed our more attacking players to make the runs and get forward. Lots of things were better. We picked our men up better, we stood up instead of diving in for a tackle which is dangerous in this game, we passed it well, we talked to each other. Everyone was aware of where everyone else was and that helped both defensively as well as in attack.
It's fashionable for us to be scathing of at least one player! And KB seems to have got the numpty tag for this game! However, I think he had a decent game, kept us in it early on so we could then storm to a 9-0 lead. The keeper must be doing something if you still have a clean sheet in this game halfway through the second half.
Personally I was glad of the start and I hope I repaid the gaffer with a decent performance, I am much more comfortable playing in our half and shoring up the one-man defence :D I was desperate to get another goal but my way of playing is 10-2 up or 10-2 down I still would have passed it to Si when I did. Goal difference could be crucial at the end of the season and he was far more likely to score than "couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo" Superfat! tup:
Well done, guys, onwards and upwards and to keep our fantastic team ethic going. Your all tossers the lot of you! tup:
